Hey there, over at DC3, Ultimate All-Stars #10 is up, both lead and back-up stories together at last, so check it out (or check it out again and leave a comment on the issue). Here's a sneak peak of what's waiting inside: Johnny Thunder and Wonder Woman in "Axis Power": “Because whoever has the cup intends to use it to raise the only thing symbolized on the vessel that remains untouched by this bloody war, and in so doing, could begin a catastrophe,” Paula answered in a nervous hush. “My masters want a Thousand Year Reich. You and your allies may hate the idea, but it would be peace for a millennium. Your allies want democracy for all, a foolish dream, but if it did succeed, it would mean peace. This other agent wants to unleash havoc and chaos, and plunge us into an Age of Ruin.” “You're not providing me this information to act upon,” Hippolyta said slowly, as she realized where the Nazi was headed with her speech. “You're here to recruit me to help you.” “I can't do it alone. I haven't the physical prowess. You can't do it alone, you haven't the occult mastery. Together, though, women of the world, powerful and intelligent,” Paula suggested with a wicked grin. “Your Majesty, you only get the information by working with me. You have no way to compel my secrets truthfully. And time is growing short.” Hippolyta frowned, her eyes narrowed as she looked over the slender, cocky German spy. Something to compel the truth from people, she mused thoughtfully. I should definitely look into such a thing. “Very well, Baroness. Your word of honor as a noble, given to royalty, that you will not betray me while on this mission.” * * * Jimmy clapped in triumph as the purplish-pink bolt of lightning roared from the badge and took the form of their cowboy ancestor between them. “Master John, what's up?” He stopped and stared at James Bourne, as Johnny watched the aura of sparking energy that surrounded the Thunderbolt get sucked toward the twisting, three-foot high, thirteen hundred foot long mound. “You!” “Me, genie, and thank you,” James said with cackling that chilled both mystical being and his master, as Thunderbolt felt diminished by the way his excess power bled off to the mound. “Thank you very much. And Johnny, don't you worry. Not one bit. Thanks to you and your Thunderbolt, I will show you without question that you are the mightiest member of the Justice Society!” As James laughed, the earth rippled and shuddered, a serpentine coil rolling down the length of the mound as it freed itself, and reared up. A massive snake, hundreds of feet long and five feet wide, lashed about, reveling in its sudden freedom of movement and the mouth opened and roared silently as it sought its first target. And all the while, James continued to laugh. * * * Meanwhile, in the back-up, Liberty Belle, Tarantula and Doctor Mid-Nite duel with the Terrible Trio in "Mob War at Mid-Nite!": He nodded in agreement as he pulled out a small sphere from a pouch on his belt and fingered it gingerly. “Do what I must, end it fast,” Doctor Mid-Nite murmured to no one as he boot crashed into the door and sent it splintering in all directions. The gathered mobsters were still in the process of sorting into the groups dictated by the masks they'd been presented when the sphere tossed by the mystery man cracked on the floor and billowing darkness flooded the area. Unimpeded, the doctor charged into the blinded gangsters, taking advantage of his edge to land well-aimed, precise blows. Nerveless fingers dropped deadly firearms while kicks and punches put down a number of the criminals, and all the while. Dr. Mid-Nite maintained that unfaltering focus on the mob still standing, never slowing, never pausing. “Get him! Stop him!” Screamed the man in the tuxedo beneath his ornate fox mask as he watched the events unfold before him. Perched atop a dais of crates, he gripped his sub-machine gun and fired helplessly into the diminishing darkness. He didn't have to see to know that none of the sounds of pain and shock came from the vigilante. “How did you find us? How is it possible?” “It doesn't matter!” A new voice roared from the main entrance. A thick-bodied man in a blood-red pinstriped suit and viciously-grinning shark's mask stared at the combat. “It's only one man, and we just have to think fast!” With that, he pulled down on a switch and let the large ceiling fans begin to spin, slow but steady, and the currents of air tugged at the cloudy pitch black. * * * So come on and check out all the excitement! Take care Don

Again, that was not the final! I just loved it so much, I couldn't wait to share it with everyone! This is the cover for Robin:Betrayal #6 (the final issue!)......He totally captured the spirit of what I was going for with this last chapter..... This is a (for those of you who know of Yu Yu Hakusho) a Yuske vs. Toguro moment..... after being dragged through all kinds of hell, by the bad guy, our hero is pretty freakin pissed..... How far will he be willing to go? Well, you'll just have to read and find out!

Click the cover to go straight to the issue! [/i] Alright, some highlights: [/center] Aquaman faces something horrifyingly evil underneath the sea. That's pretty bad ass, because, come on, Aquaman and Sea monsters. Talking Gorillas. Yes, I'm not lying to you. Batman versus a zombie, with room for plural in later issues... seriously. Justice League versus Swamp Thing? Come on, need I say more? And that's like, three scenes. I think an angel is running around in there too. Check it out, tell us what you think

Ultimate Gotham Girls #17 is up, and Batgirl throws down with Two-Face with dire, and very personal, consequences, in a struggle between two good friends...and one arch-enemy! “But you didn’t.” Renee went for another kick, and Two-Face went flying over his dresser. “I’ve caught you. I know everything…Two-Face,” she hesitated only a second to use that name. “And you’re not getting away with it.” He was sneering as he clambered to his feet, the kind of expression that Renee had never imagined on Harvey’s face. But she was past that shock now, and kept him off-balance, plucking a flash grenade from her belt and tossing it toward him, tapping the recorder again in the process. His hands came up to both his eyes, and Renee took the opportunity to race up and duck into his pocket, as he had done for so long now. She clutched the coin in her gloved hand and stood on the other side of the room, waiting to see what he would do. Once again, he started to laugh. It was low, fast, jittering. He twisted his burned lips into a smile and faced her right down. “You didn’t want to do that.” “Didn’t I?” Renee asked, holding her closed hand out. “Want it back?” Harvey inside his own mind screamed “Yes!” The Harvey on the outside laughed again. “Without that damn thing I get my fresh air. Keep it!” Renee was thrown off. Her plan had backfired, and now she was stuck. Worse, Two-Face was confident. He was stronger and quicker and more dangerous than ever, and he proved it by bolting toward Batgirl, carrying a belt from his dresser, and tossing it around her neck before she had time to react.

Flash? Who mentioned Flash? I didn't see anything about the Flash? Certainly nothing to indicate that 2009 will be the biggest Flash year ever for the DC2 and that Legacy of the Lightning was only the beginning. Heavens, no.
Next you'll be saying something or other about war on the horizon!

Hey there, this week's update for DC3, which I do here like this because one if its writers ( ) was drastically late, so now, this week's good stuff is all up and here are some snippets from the offerings: Metal Men: Reloaded #3 of 3An Earth-Two titleThe conflict between the new Metal Men and the Legion of Super-Heroes had escalated to a full-on brawl. The heroes of the past were holding their own against the small group of heroes of the future. Tomorrow Woman was tearing off pieces of the floor with her telekinesis and hurling them at her foes and from the look on her face, having the time of her artificial life. Red Tornado, his lower body a crimson funnel of wind, was blasting powerful hurricanes at the attacking Legion, with blankness on his masked face. Ajax was handling them directly, using his great strength to hold them off. Mercury was, almost playfully, leaping off the walls and hitting any opposition in his way. Brainiac 8 had held back from fighting, putting herself behind a force field and attempting to divide the forces with her powers. “We aren’t here to fight!” She attempted to yell over the chaos, but to no avail. The Legion and the Metal Men continued to fight relentlessly. Hourman had the most difficult job of all. He had to locate Computo, but Brainiac 5 had put a force field between the two. The time-traveler struck the glowing wall with all his strength, but found it impenetrable. “We need to save the future!” He said. “And you are destroying it!” Check out the rest of the story here!Mightiest Mortals #13An Earth-S title“If you survive your burns, tell 'em Arson Fiend sent you, and all your buddies better pay up!” he called out after the owner, then turned to leave through the back way. He opened the door and bounced off a large red barricade. “Arson Fiend? That's a new one, isn't it?” Captain Marvel asked as he stepped into the kitchen, his big beefy hand grabbing the blazing criminal without a flinch. “Couldn't help but notice the owner of this place racing out of here on fire.” “Burn!” Arson Fiend cried out, more jittery now, and the dance of orange flames shifted in hue, turning blue, but his eyes grew fearful when he saw Captain Marvel yawn. “Time to go, I think,” the hero said. “You going to put yourself out, or do I need to dunk you in the ocean first?” He grinned. “One question, Marvel. Doesn't this place use gas stoves?” Check out the rest of the story here!Ultimate All-Stars #11An Earth-Five title“I'll take that now, thank you,” Wotan said as he floated toward her. As he did, his features melted back into the sickly-green male that had begun the battle. “I fibbed a little, please forgive me, my queen.” he chuckled as the air he commanded tore the shield from her arm and held it high above him. “I didn't need you. Just this.” “Well, I don't need that to stop you,” the Amazon snarled, mouth bloodied, body aching. “Just this.” She thrust her sword up into his abdomen, the gods-forged blade sliding completely through him. “No. No, my queen, you need much more than that to defeat Wotan,” the magician said in a sympathetic voice as his hands gripped the blade that impaled him. The slender fingers wrapped around the metal, green blood dripping down the groove at its center, and then arcane lightning flowed down into the body of Wonder Woman. Her scream signaled the end of the battle, and he watched with a satisfied smile. Check out the rest of the story here!Enjoy all our titles! take care Don
