I loved and hated this season finale. I mean, it was all about altering the timeline, but we could see from the present that nothing changed. So... what is the significance of that "thing" in the past happening? (Non-spoilery, I hope)
Also, two Lockes? That kind of burned me. That means Locke isn't Jesus, Island version.
Lame. Though I did love Jacob. Great character, great actor. It showed how closely the survivors were tied together from the very beginning.

I should have put in a spoiler alert. It'll be impossible to have a discussion without it. I'll go fix that.
I think we'll have to wait and see what the purpose of the entire Incident was, but there are a number of ways it could go. Of course it's not going to be Jack's big reset button he's hoping for. I think if nothing else it brought all of the group into ground zero of the event so they could be thrown back to the future. At worst the bomb caused the severity of the incident that leads to it needing to be monitored and attended (and eventually makes the situation causing their crash), but at best they may have dissipated the initial energy discharge (like Desmond's key turning later on) and saved the planet from disaster.
I think the second Locke may be a manifestation of Jacob's enemy seen at the beginning of the ep. Like many of the dead folks we've seen reappear to influence the goings on with the island folk. The sad part would be Locke actually being dead because up until the last few eps I was really liking his character this season.
Who knows. I guess we'll find out. ;D
