Some of you may already know that Riz has been working on an entrance site from which the DC2 Universe and its sister sites can easily be accessed: www.dc2omniverse.comWhat we now need is a memorable name for this entrance site, so if any of you out there have any ideas or suggestions, could you please post them here. the Bleed and the Source are both names used by DC for their blogs for the DCU and Wildstorm, so we need something else.

Honestly, "DC2" should be in the name. It's our brand, and after 4 years of hard work (and no sign of losing steam) it deserves to be out front--- there may even be some name recognition attached to it, for all we know  . I like (endorse, if you will) DC2 Gateway. |

I agree that DC2 is the most known board of the community, but we also have Marvel2.0 and Independent stories. The DC2 will be the most prominent link anyway on the page with the characters in front. So I'm not sure if we need to have the DC2 brand in the name.
But it's just my opinion.

The SourceWall is the best one, since it does include all four sites.
Adding to DC2 to it might not good.

I side with David on this, whatever the name (and Gateway seems to be the most viable so far), DC2 should be in the mix. It's the brand name (so to speak) and as I grew up learning, "you dance with the person what brung you". So I learned in an illiterate house. Sue me. Take care Don |

I'm partial to DC2 Omniverse (as DC2Universe is kinda the unoffical name of this site, while Multiverse is the DC3, and Omniverse just sounds better than Everyverse and essentially means the same thing--- though good on you for coining Everyverse!). I'd say you've nailed it, sir! DC2Omniverse. I'd carve that sucker in stone! |

I LOVE the site design! Actually makes us look professional. ;D
Both DC2 Gateway and DC2 Omniverse sound good. And I'm also in favor of keeping DC2 linked to whatever title we choose. This is the founding site, and it even takes precedence in the new site's layout. If anybody else needs convincing, think of it this way: over at the real DC Comics, regular DC acts as a hub from which all the other imprints branch off (Vertigo, Wildstorm, Zuda, and if you wanna be real old-school, Helix and Impact). It doesn't downplay the other imprints, it's just acknowledges that DC is where it all started, and it's the same case for us.
DC2 is the anchor. It's what we've all promoted to the hilt for 4 years (crap, it's been that long?!?) It's the reason our Multiverse imprint is called DC3 and not some other variation. Keep DC2 in whatever blanket title we choose.

I'll put my vote in for DC2 Omniverse as well.
Sounds good and works for what all is involved. Keeps the central site as the focus but provides a good umbrella for all the sister sites and those that spun out of this community.
Something I'd like to bring up is the need to get the sites a little more visibility in a few search engines. The fact that when you enter 'DC fan fiction' into Google and neither DC2 or DC3 are anywhere to be seen in the results is a big oversight maybe. But I'm not really sure what needs to be done on getting our search up. Any ideas on good ways to address this?

Okay, since the general consensus seems to be www.dc2omniverse.com I've now set it up (now that Riz has done all the hard work). For rhose of you who mention DC2 Universe in your signatures elsewhere, it might be upgrading them to use the omniversal link. |
