I have a friend who owns a video game store where I hang out all the time and play games.... since this game came out NOBODY has traded it in..... and that's saying a lot because pretty much every game, no matter how good it is, generally comes in pretty quick at least from one person......... this game must be pretty rad if it hasn't come in I mean, we've already gotten in like 3 or 4 copies of dead sapce, plus 2 copies of fable 2 and a copy of fallout 3..... oh yeah, and left 4 dead (games freakin scary by the way)......... so yeah, I'm totally stoked to play it and I would buy it right now, but with the crappy fighting systems in the last few mk games, I made myself promise I wouldn't fork out the 60 bucks for it (or 50 if it comes in used) until I tested out the fighting system so I'm stuck biting my nail with anticipation until then..............darn it this sucks lol

I own Dead Space, and Fallout 3. I am having a blast with both games. I also own Resistance2 (which I haven't played yet - haven't had time yet), and I have MK vs DCU on order with Amazon, just waiting for shipping.  From what I've seen so far in game play videos it could very well turn out to be my favorite game! I am a real sucker for Superhero video games. I played City of Heroes and City of Villains for a long time, had 5 level 50s, and a few 40s over 2 accounts... |

yeah, I got really excited when someone told me that you can limit the fighting to 2D movements with the push of a button.... then push the button again to make it full 3D fighting......finally a game with a classic MK feel

I am a real sucker for Superhero video games. I played City of Heroes and City of Villains for a long time, had 5 level 50s, and a few 40s over 2 accounts... Yeah, I beta tested CoH and CoV and played them for years. Waiting for my beta invite to Champions-Online. |

I was stoked when I heard that DCUniverse online was coming out.... then I heard it was a ps3 exclusive and got all sad.... then I remembered that sony has lost pretty much every other exclusive killer app title.....devil may cry, final fantasy XIII, tekken 6, and now even MGS4 is coming to 360.... what next? heavenly sword? god of war?...... I hope DCUOnline is lost to them cuz I'd really like to play but I'm sure as heck not going to attempt it on those crappy ps3 servers

DCU Online is another game I intend on getting... I love my PS3... I play my Blu Ray's in it, downloaded television shows via USB, and the games are great. The PS Network is really good, and the PS3 has all the games I am interested in playing. Of course I am not a XBox or PS3 fanboy, I just know what the PS3 can do and what I use it for. I have no problems with it at all.  Ny nephew has a XBox primarily because all his friends play on XBox and he wants to be able to play with them. He only plays COD really so he could play that on either system... Right now DCU Online is trying to figure out technical issues, with having PC and PS3 owners play in the same world/server... |

I hope DCUOnline is lost to them cuz I'd really like to play but I'm sure as heck not going to attempt it on those crappy ps3 servers I'm very skeptical of DCUOnline. Sony Online Entertainment have had pretty bad reputation for the last few MMOs they've published. DCUO is being produced by a lot of the same developpers who work on Everquest, but looking at the mess of Star Wars Galaxies, Planet Fall and even Everquest 2, I`m not too optimistic. |

But you are right, SOE has sucked hardcore with their MMOs... You are going to see CoV and CoH tank once DCU Online and Champions Online are released. I think of the two, I have the most optimism for Champions Online (I actually play Hero System and have played it since 1981 when it used to be called Champions - Champions Online is based off this Universe and Power Sets, and looks to be a NEWER better graphical version of the CoV and CoH engine).

MMO's have a storyline!? WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN!?!?
Also, I'm buying DC vs Mk in a week or two.
DCUOnline looks like it'll be a good game though. I'll have to buy it when I get a PS3... 360 is overrated, unless you like FPS games. I got a nice deal on the one I got though, only paid 80 dollars. lol

I think the wii is the system that's overrated.... don't get me wrong, I have fun when I'm hanging out with my friends who have one and we play Brawl but, all-in-all it's just not worth the money.... a lot of people flock to it because it's cheaper, but by the time you buy and extra controller (cuz the wii is no fun to play alone) plus the nunchuck attachment, and possibly an attachment for the first controller, then a game or two, you've spent more than you would have on a 360...... I love my 360 and, for the record, I'm not big into fps games........ I got one because it has the best selection of games for me and so far, ps3 hasn't cranked out one decent exclusive besides heavenly sword (and resistance from what I hear but I haven't tried those out myself)...... anyways, I am excited about mk vs. DC and hopefully someone will trade in a copy this week so I can freakin play it! lol

My copy of MK vs DCU is in the mail as we speak according to Amazon... YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!! I will let you know how fun it is once I get it and have a chance to play it. P.S. You are right, I think the Wii is definitely overrated and expensive with all the extra add ons you need to buy for games. As far as PS3 exclusives go... DCU Online looks to be a goody! When I heard it was supposed to be released for PS3 only, that and the Blu Ray made it an easy decision for me. That being said, I don't have a bunch of friends who all have 360's I feel the need to play with. |

As much as I'd like to see a bit of the winds taken out of Blizzards sails (sales?), I highly doubt it would be DCUonline that would do it. It doesn't have to do with the quality of the game, I just think fanatsy is a more accessible game genre than superheroes to the masses (Although Hollywood is proving Superheroes more popular than fantasy in movies, so who knows). I'm not concerned about DCUonline's stories or art direction. I'm worried about game mechanics. Bad game mechanics, and worse patches to fix the original problems led to the end of Star Wars Galaxies, Planet Fall and Everquest 2 (all made by DCUo programmers). I'm expecting DCU online to be mediocre, but hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised if it turns out to be great. |

Warhammer is waaaaay better then WoW. It's still got grinding and everything else, but you can level in PvP, and has some other really cool features.
I like the Wii, it's game selection isn't the greatest right now, but you've got Super Mario Galaxy, Brawl, Soul Calibour Legends, (Low budget, but it's combat system is awesome) and a couple other really fun games.
And the 360, I don't care what exclusive games they have; every non exclusive game so far has been better on PS3. Heck, Force Unleashed on PS2 was even better then the one I played on 360. That's just an example of course, and both 360 and PS3 are currently being overwhelmed by FPS's so I'm going to wait on a PS3 until some more games come out for it. (MGS4 looks amazing though)

I have to disagree with that statement..... if you're looking at the same game then the only difference between 360 and ps3 would be graphics, and from what I've heard from people who have both systems, the only way you can even tell the difference graphics wise is if you have HD and even then it's barely noticeable....... oh, and I found this quite hilarious..... a friend of mine was reading OPM (official playstation magazine) and they even admitted that ps3 had yet to come out with a game with graphics as good as gears of war..... now I hate the gears of war games, but even I thought that was funny......... personally, I don't play a game for graphics though, so that plays little to no factor in my choosing games...... I am glad ps3 dropped that six-axis crap though, it sucked from the beginning! nice to be able to hold a controller that I don't feel like I'm going to break if I look at it the wrong way..... oh and I do agree with you about force unleashed, the p2 version is actually better than the current gen versions..... they really dropped the ball with that game.....made me sad lol

I have noticed a fair amount of difference in a couple of games on 360 and PS3. It just seems like there are more glitches on 360 then PS3 from what I've seen. Assassins Creed for example randomly deletes itself from my 360. (I've heard that it's got some glitches on PS3 as well, I haven't heard of anything as bad as this though)
I do think both systems have potential though. I've never been a big fan of Xbox, but the 360 seems to be working out a lot of the issues the original system had. Although I'm still waiting for it to come out some better games that I can't get on a PS3.

I used to be a sony fanboy until ps3 came out.... I think they really dropped the ball with the system overall.... as the matter of fact, DCUOnline is the first exclusive game I'll even care to play now that Tekken 6 and Final Fantasy 13 have been announced for 360...... here's hoping DCUOnline doesn't blow so I'll finally have a reason to buy a p3 lol

I got this game on Friday, and played it a bit yesterday and today. It is a FRICKEN HOOT! Super Fun! The supervillains in this one have Fatalities and the SUperheroes have Heroic Brutalities. I pulled off most of them from the various characters. I also ran through story mode, and some scenes with the Joker were funny as hell. I liked what they did with this game. It is awesome to see the characters costumes ripped and shredded when getting the crap beat out of them, as well as the bruises on the body and faces, and the bloody noses and other stuff. Awesome... I give it 2 thumbs up! |

same here... I had the chance to play it this week (used copy finally came in) and it was prett rad! the only thing that bugs me is they gave Batman some of the lamest brutalities of all the heroes.... he's freakin Batman! shoudln't his be some of the most brutal?.... that said, the only other problem I had with this game was the totally cheap AI, which is present in any MK game so I was expecting it here anyway..... much more fun playing against humans.... can't wait to take this baby online once I buy it!

I love Deathstroke's Fatality moves. Actually I like Superman's Brutality move where he freezes the guy, then grabs him high into the air, drops him, then comes flying down at high speed to land right on top of him with serious force. Joker's fatality is cool too with the cards in the face.
The game is just awesome. So many characters to play! It is too bad you don't have a PS3, I would say we should hook up!!!
