I agree, Brian, she was hilarious as Luxawana. I had no idea that was Gene Roddenberry's wife when I saw her on it though. Especially the original series.

She was the one common thread that had connected every single incarnation of Star Trek from its inception. From Number One in the original pilot to Nurse Chapel to Luwaxana to the voice of the Enterprise computer (she had just completed doing the computer voice work for the upcoming Star Trek reboot due out in '09). Very sad day for sci-fi fans indeed.

Oh man, I need to look in this section more often. Even though this happened weeks ago, this is the first I've heard of it. Glad she got to do one last "Star Trek"...though I can't imagine what it's going to be like in future projects without her.
