From Newsarama: According to both of today’s Hollywood trades, the long-awaited big-screen adaptation of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons Watchman has the first additions to its cast, and they are Patrick Wilson, Jackie Earle Haley, Matthew Goode, Billy Crudup, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Malin Akerman. Zack Snyder 300 directs. According to the Hollywood Reporter, "Set in an alternate America, 'Watchmen' follows costumed hero Rorschach, who is living a vigilante lifestyle because most masked heroes have retired or been outlawed. While investigating a murder, Rorschach learns that a former masked-hero colleague has been killed, prompting him to begin investigating a possible conspiracy." read more at forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=122573so what do you guys think? I am looking forward to it givin the success of 300 but after looking up the pictures of those actors, i'm curious how it'll turn up on screen. I mean, how are they going to compact Watchmen to even a really long movie?

Personally, I can't be more excited about Morgan as Comedian. His intensity as the Winchester daddy, and his wonderful acting in Grey's Anatomy, they've really sold me. He's got real solid chops, and a dark edge going on. He'll be great, regardless of the movie.
As for the movie...that'll be a challenge. Snyder's good for it though, so I'll be curious to check out the final product.
Take care Don

Dude, I'm with you there! The guy's amazing. And my girlfriend's ready to go stalk him out at the production site. That was her first question "Where's it filming?" lol And actually, Patrick Wilson for Nite Owl is an interesting choice. He's a bit athletic, I pictured a slightly...er...bulkier Nite Owl from the comic depiction, but he plays a good, solid, earnest guy who just tries hard and maybe doesn't quite cut it. His turn as Raoul in Phantom of the Opera movie shows a lot of that. So far, casting has a thumb's up from me. The rest of it...talk about a wait and see situation, huh? Take care Don
