Wow... I couldn't believe it when I saw the headlines. Says he had a heart attack. What's really sad? He died before the elections.

Yes, this is a real shame. I watch Meet the Press religously, and was shocked to hear the news a few minutes ago. His Sunday morning presence in our household will be sorely missed.

I am glad I watched the election coverage when Barack Obama clinched the Democratic nomination... Tim Russert was on with his colleagues that night. I remember thinking to myself how much I admired him because of his love for his father. If you guys get a chance you should read Big Russ and Me. www.bigrussandme.com/ Gave me a whole new appreciation for my own parents. I will miss Tim Russert. One of the few journalist that I felt like was genuine.

Hell, even over here across the water, I'd heard of him. From what I hear, one of the last honest guys in town.

He was awesome. Haha, I only get 2-4 channels where I'm at-- if I'm lucky-- but I watched when I could, and when I was at my grammy's house (a maaajor die-hard fan of his...). He was pretty kewl, though I have to say-- and don't take me wrong, I'm not trying to be cold-hearted or anything, lol--- it IS a shame that he died before the elections. Seriously, if he had to pick a day to die, it would have been after the elections.
