So earlier today I was leaving the market to go to my car when all of a sudden this elderly woman, like barely 5 ft tall bumps into me. I was like "Excuse me, I'm sorry." and she goes "WATCH IT!" and I was thinking to myself, that's one nasty old lady. So I started to walk to the car REAL fast. ;D Strange...

I hate rude people, but I'm very apologetic for no reason at all, even if it's not my fault. They bump into me? I apologize. I hold doors, I smile, I nod, and people continually give me shit.
*sigh*
That's life...

Yep. Hahaha, you shoulda seen the woman at Mickey D's today! Our club went in to order and she was nasty! I was one of the last to order and pick up my food, and had seen her be nasty to others in the group before me. She slammed a tray on the counter and was like, "Is that all? I know it's gotta be messed up because you people ordered so much food!" I was like, "Ha, well, when you've got a large group... *shrug* Oops, I think we're missing two boxes of fries..." SLAM! They were on the tray. "NOW is that all?" "Ha, well, um... I hate to say it, but I don't see my sweet tea..." "HURRY UP AND GET THESE PEOPLE'S FOOD! GET THEM SOME MORE FRIES AND A BIG MAC!" She slammed the cups on the counter, and this went on for awhile. It would have been done a lot quicker if she'd stopped screaming at me! Finally, I grabbed the trays and ran to the tables to divvy out the food. As I left, she was snapping about our group ordering so much food, and taking so long, and how her other customers ( ... there weren't any for her...) would probably not even still be there, and was that lady from our group STILL wanting those four apple pies for the kids? UNbeLIEVable! :-P

When we were in Burger King last year in NY, had the exact same thing happen to us.
"IS THIS YOURS? COKE! COKE! COKE! COKE!"
*cowering* "Oh, lord, we'll worship your Coke God, just please, oh God, stop shouting..."

When people are rude to me in public I just put on my "crazy face" and then follow them around for awhile. That tends to work.

I am usually pretty reserved in public and avoid confrontation as much as possible. Lately however, I've really been trying to work up the nerve to say what I want to these people who get shitty with you like that and my new approach to handling these situations is when some one says "WATCH IT" like that lady is to mock how childish they are by being even more childish back. Like in a really high pitched annoying tone yell "YOU WATCH IT C*NT" and run away with my arms flailing about a crazy person. It doesn't sound funny here but try seeing someone do it in person. Hillarious.
