Simple enough. Which one could out command the other four?

Are you kidding?!
James Tiberius Kirk all the way! The others are all good and fine but there is none mightier than Kirk. Shatner is a god among men.

If Mackenzie Calhoun had been on the list, I'd have voted for him. Since he wasn't, I went for Kirk.

Since I grew up watching Star Trek Voyager, naturally I picked Janeway. I had seen NG before Voyager came out but there was nothing that really attracted me to it and the original Star Trek was before my time. Janeway was so cold, so hard and yet she was so kind and insightful. But nothing about Voyager would of attracted me if it wasn't for Seven of Nine. But Archer was so close, I loved Enterprise all the way.

I imagine when Shatner dies, he will spend all of his time hanging out with God. Wouldn't that be cool?
Hanging out with Shatner I mean.
Kirk all the way he could whoop on all four of the others, then have sex with any human or alien woman he wanted.

I find people's choices of commanding officers to be interesting. Mostly because I've been a Trek geek since I was five. First episode I ever saw was "Day of the Dove". If I needed someone to lead a black ops mission, it would be Sisko, all the way. (and probably my second pick) If I needed someone for negotiations, Picard is the man to go to. If I needed someone to do the best Kathryn Hepburn impersonation ever, Janeway is the way to go. (sorry cheshire) But if the situation was grave, death was knocking at the door, and the odds were against me, then hell yeah, Kirk all they way! He is the first, and the best! I just wouldn't want to be flying on a plane with William Shatner. Now who gets that reference?

I do! I do!
I saw an interview where Shatner said when his kids were younger and they'd travel, he'd pull that on the stewardesses to make them laugh. "Miss, excuse me, Miss! There's... (long pause)... something on the wing!"

What a great episode! Did anyone see the movie where the ambulance driver asks, "You wanna see something really scary?" Such a great moment.

I'll put my two cent in.
I loved all of these captains. I watched them all. They all have their strengths over the others.
Kirk- Well I said enough on him.
Picard- I believe this captain was a true diplomat for Starfleet. And he had the best senior staff. A Droid, a Ladies Man, an empath, a guy who come see different things and a Klingon Security Chief.
Sisko- The guy was in control of a space station, a worm hole and the locals thought he was a holy person. The guy didn't take crap from the Dominion or anyone else.
Janeway- She whooped the Borg Queen's ass alot. Defeated the Borg. Voyager was the first ship to be equipped with a class-9 warp drive, which they were intended to test in deep space, allowing for a maximum sustainable speed of Warp 9.975. So she had the fastest ship.
Archer- That guy was just learning as he went along. And the first Starfleet captain to escape the Klingons' prison. And he had the sexy ass science officer too.
There it is, my two cents.
