Well, it's one year after OYL, so what's the verdict...?

Of the ones listed, I'm torn between BB and WW.

Without a doubt, for me, it has been Hawkgirl. I wasn't disappointed in anything like I was this title. I disliked the art immensely and the story just kind of meandered all over the place, without any real focus. I ended up not caring for Kendra at all.
It was a tough choice, though. Aquaman was just as big of a let down for me, and for just about the same reasons.
On the other end of the spectrum, Blue Beetle surprised me. I've ended up enjoying the daylights out of this title. Also, the new Atom (although I still miss Ray), has been a blast. Of course I wouldn't expect anything less from Gail.

Wonder Woman. A complete and total failure in every single way.
1.Donna swhould never, ever, ever, ever have been Wonder Woman! Donna's been her own unique character for 2 decades now!(and even before then she was still a pretty unique individual)
2.That said,I'd appreciate seeing the end of the arc at least! Da hell's up with this anymroe?
3.And the fill in issues leading to Amazons Attack have been lacklustre as hell too! Gail can't start writing this quick enough! She's the only chance this book has of redemption right now.

Wonder Woman leads the pack followed by Hawkgirl and Flash. But it looks like Wonder Woman might be the ship that can't be fixed.

I enjoyed the Flash in places, (especially the Karl Kerschl issue! That art was beautiful!) but there were so many flaws in the writing that it turned pretty grim from... #2 onwards. Seemed to me, that an issue took place in like an hour of Bart's life, and that was SLOW. Not so good. I hate decompression.
I enjoyed Hawkgirl! I dropped Wonder Woman as of #2...
I vote Nightwing. Because come on. Giant monster eating Jason Todd is so uncool.

Also! Aquaman was Conan beneath the sea! So bad! Blue Beetle... Issue one was tight but didn't grab me enough for me to drop another £3 each month... The All New Atom was rubbish IMO, I'm not a Simone fan boy like the rest of you guys (also, I got one of the badly printed ones, that repeated the second act instead of having the third.) so I didn't really care. Trials of Shazam! lost me in BRAVE NEW WORLD.

I'll continue to pickup Wonder Woman because of my wife. I hope that Gail Simone fixes her.
YEah jason Todd getting shallowed by that thing was stupid but I looking forward to seeing what Bruce Jones had planned for the book but he was I believe yanked off the title.

I had to go with Trials of Shazam here. The spirit of Captain Marvel is nowhere to be found in this updating of the Shazam mythos, and I just as soon that Winick created an original character for this (only mildly interesting) series, instead of taking some beloved ones in such a drastically different direction. This series is not for fans of Captain Marvel, sadly; it is for fans of Winick (for what it's worth, I think Bill Willingham should have been the guy to write this: his work on DOV and Shadowpact earns him the nod, as if his track record on Fables didn't say it all).
Howard Porters new style is nice though! A huge improvement, IMHO!
The second biggest disappointment to me has been Hawkgirl. I like Walt Simonson, and I think he even may have made a terrific Hawkman writer--- but he managed to make one of my favorite characters downright boring. Howard Chaykin was so wrong for this title (who the heck makes these decisions?!?), though I like Arlem. I honestly can't say I'm sorry this was cancelled; maybe this'll give DC the opportunity to do the title right (again--- John's run was awesome, and Palmiotti and Gray were very solid).

Palmiotti and Gray's arc is my all time favourite Hawkman run. Ever.
Better than either/or/and Robinson and Johns. Just... Amazing.

I'll rank these from best to worst (IMO): Blue Beetle - I only read a couple issues in the store, but it looked like a fun title. I'll probably pick up the trade somewhere down the line. Flash - If this were on the recent issues, it would be on top. Right now Flash is one of my favorite titles, but the initial OYL arc was decent at it's best times, and boring at others. I'm interested in Bart's life and Bilson/Demeo captured that well, and Lashley's art was really nice, but The Griffin was a terrible villain and the story dragged on with not much happening. Wonder Woman - I only read the first couple issues, but other than the art it was just confusing and boring. Nightwing - I put this last just because the my expectations were so high and it was such a bad arc. Books I haven't read: Aquaman - This seemed like an interesting change, but I don't care enough about Aquaman to pick up a book no matter what they do with him (unless they bring back Lagoon Boy ) Atom - This looks like a fun title, I just haven't had the chance to try it. I don't really like the idea of replacing Ray Palmer, but Gail Simone writes it so it can't be too bad. Hawkgirl - I don't care about this character at all, but I've heard some bad things about the book. Shazam - This looks alright. Howard Porter is a good artist, Judd Winnick has his ups and downs, and I'm mildly interested in the Marvel family. I guess I just wasn't interested enough to pick it up.

Of the relaunches I actually picked up.
JLA - Liked it, still buying it. JSA - Awesome. The only book I know won't be leaving my pull list anytime soon. Flash - Dropped it after five or so issues. It's not that it was horrible. It just wasn't Bart Allen. Wonder Woman - Dropped it after the first issue. Waiting to see if Simone can make it work.
The worst of the ones I've reard is definitely Wonder Woman. (Unless you're counting ALL books, not just those that started over from issue one, in which case I'd say Nightwing was the worst and Outsiders wasn't any good either.)

I knew once I heard all the "A flash may die in IC" and the "what event is the third worst day that barry warned wally about" that I wasn't going to like the Flash much. To it's credit, I understand that Wally may be too much of a family man for the generation that grew up with Wally the womanizer and such, but I think it's not such a foreign idea that they had to replace him...Superman has been a married man for years now and is still identifiable with. But I'm assuming that Wally having his twins return is weird for DC to write, if they want to make the Fastest Man Alive keep moving in and out of danger...
But it would have been interesting to see him juggling work, parenthood, marriage AND superheroics. How much time can the Fastest Man have, right?
Anyways, I fell off of most of my interest in DC's tales, with the exception of a very limited few. A lot of these titles, as said here and in other threads, just need creative work and people who really know the characters, not necessarily drastically new replacments. Aquaman, for me, has always needed the right writer to bring his talents out, but everytimes he begins to make his way, he is let down. I had a lot of faith in the new approach, but in the end, I felt like Arthur's replacement by another Arthur was just a way to bring in new readers with a "new" Aquaman while also bringing in older fans who knew the older origins, while also bringing in the fantasy fans...
Legion of Superheroes was fun, for a while, but then it fell off, to me, and then I got less interested when the book centered around Supergirl because then there didn't seem to be a real larger plot...it was mainly Supergirl playing around and calling everyone figments of her imagination with minor real plot stuck in...and Brainy trying to resurrect Dream Girl felt stretched and strained. For me, at least. I used to buy it faithfully every month, but now...saving my cash.
Wonder Woman turned me off as soon as I saw Donna become Wonder Woman: Substitute, and Donna go back to being a cheap Bond Girl wannabe.
Trails of Shazam was a cool concept, but I found myself turned off later...immensely.
JSA is pretty much my fave titles out right now besides keeping up with 52.

LoSH's was not doing it for me until Supergirl showed up. It was an interesting mystery that I found intriguing. Supergirl actually has been more enjoyable then she has been in her own series. I'm actually starting to get into Bart a bit more, as well, but I'll never understand why they got rid of Wally. As much as Barry really was the true legend of the Flash line, Wally was my favorite. He's the character that I grew up with. From the moment he stepped into the The New Teen Titans and found himself in love with Raven, I found his character fascinating; even more so then Dick Grayson's in many ways. His character was the one who has probably developed more then most others in the DC Universe. The other character that I have always loved has been Donna, and I had no problem with her taking over the mantel of Wonder Woman... if they had committed to it. But they didn't, and that was very dissapointing. Yep, DC has done some goo and some bad, but these are all characters that I grew up with, characters that helped me lose myself in this complicated world of theirs when the real one got a little too much to handle. So I'm still here, rooting them on. Even Kendra (although I'm not sure why).

So much bad to choose from! Hawkgirl is just this side of making me want to vomit. Aquaman has almost the same effect... especially after McManus joined up. Nightwing was disappointing. Trials of Shazam... WTF? But the no-prize here goes to: [glow=red,2,300] THE FLASH! [/glow] What a terrible piece of smelly horse-$h!t that turned out to be! If I had my way, Bilson and DeMeo (and I personally know DeMeo's brother) would never work in the industry again!

Of the choices given, I only read NIGHTWING (my collection is very Bat-centric), and hands-down, that had a horrid start. I chalk it up to the 11-hour rescue of Dick from death's door -- they were probably scrambling for a plot, any plot -- but even now that Marv Wolfman's on it, I'm having a hard time mustering up any care I used to have for the guy. Things weren't exactly rosy on the book before OYL, but then we get the "Jason-monster" nightmare (among other plot problems), and now after an ACTUAL year has passed, I'm asking myself, "Why am I still shilling out three bucks a month?" Once I pick up the next issue (#132, I think it is), I'm dropping the title. Sorry, Dick, I just don't care anymore...and you're on notice, too, Tim, especially if they carry on with more of this "evil Cassandra" stuff like I think they might, judging by the end of the last issue of ROBIN I read. The ol' reliables: JONAH HEX (eighteen issues, and not a stinker in the bunch!), BIRDS OF PREY (you haven't let me down yet, Gail!), GREEN LANTERN (I thought the shine would have worn off that ring by now, but it hasn't!) and DETECTIVE COMICS (9 times out of 10, it's better than BATMAN, no matter what era you look at!). Jeez, I just looked at what I typed...I'm whittling down to 4 DC books? There was a time when that was unthinkable for me, but that now seems so long ago...
