Ok, don't get your knickers in a knot. I am not suggesting evolution doesn't happen, or jumped on the crazy train and became an intelligent design flag waving screwball.
Evolution is fact. And it sucks. It sucks and blows.
Exhibit one: the appendix. You see, the theory of evolution by natural selection predicts that some organisms will posses vestigial feature and organs - basically features that serve little or no purpose now, but did in our evolutionary past. Like, the accursed appendix. In particular, MY appendix.
It's not that I am bitter, but I cannot help but wishing this totally hopeless and stupid organ had been evolved out by now. Sure, some people these days are being born without one....lucky bastards. But not me. Oooh no. I gotta have one...or I did anyway.
See, I had this headache start about a week ago. After 7 days I went and saw my doctor, who said I had a sinus infection and gave my antibiotics. So far so good right?
Except within two days of taking the pills, my right side started to hurt. I mean really hurt. I mean double you over like Mike Tyson just kicked you in the crotch hurt.
I thought this might be a side effect of the anti-botics. But the pain was so bad, that I went to the local hospital...where it turns out it was not a side effect...it was my rapidly swelling appendix. And the antibiotics where actually keeping it from swelling even more.
So they had to put me under and remove the bloody thing. So now I am stuck at home on pain killers while I recover from surgery....and I hate being stuck at home. Its been only a day and half and I am bored out of my skull...when the drugs don't put me to sleep mind you..
Ugh. Evolution sucks.
Anyway, this is why I have been off line for the last couple of days and probably will be for a few days more.
