The original DX (Degeneration-X) is back, which consists of Shawn Micheals and Triple H. Any thoughts?
And yes, the Walls of Jericho does hurt, but so do most submissions moves if they're not done right or outide of pro-wrestling! ;D

The new D-X to me is stale. unless you are thirteen or younger and you missed the first incarnation this nostalgia trip won't do anything fo you as this is an entirely a thing. The old DX were older gentleman, but somewhere after 30 that whole, "mischevious youth" appeal wears off. this is a new kid freindly over produced dx that can drop "poo" and "slime" from the rafters. Just typing it out gives me cringes.
and yeah, the walls of jericho hurt in real life, but not as much as the lion tamer which he used in wcw where he held em at a higher angle with his knee on the back of their head.... o0oche....

Speaking of Jericho, did he get fired or something? I was watching I Love the 70's Part 2 on VH1, and under Jericho's name it's says Actor/Musician instead of WWE wrestler. Does anybody know what happened?

well in a recent radio interview (i think like 2 or 3 weeks old) he said he was taking a year long break from wrestling to do the other things he's really wanted to do and that's what he is doing. From what he says he's been acting, singing, hosting his own satelite radio show, hes even been on an off broadway musical. he did say he will return when the time is right but that people aren't rioting in the streets so wwe is doing okay without him.

actually his departure was mutual. although i hate to see him go because he is such an awesome performer, the guy really has put himself though hell doing it and i'd rather him come back long down the line to do it again then die early. ah welll, one less reason to watch ecw/smackdown/raw or wherever they decide to place him that day.

All of my housemates were really into wrestling, I like it because it's basically a sports soap opera. But it also knows how stupid it is and goes a little over the top for fun. The matches are good entertainment too.
I do get mildly frustrated when they shrug at the final pages of Civil War 1 & 2 and then go ape at Kurt Angle hitting Stone Cold with a belt on a wrestling DVD they've all watched ten years ago. I tried to explain that the events in Civil War were huge for the Marvel Universe, and that were completely unexpected and all this. I compared my lack of excitement at watching the old wrestling matches with theirs at Civil War and was told it "wasn't the same".
Idiots.

Well, so much for Kurt Angle staying away from wrestling. He's signed a contract with TNA wrestling. www.tnawrestling.com/

yea, crazy fool is going to seriously injure himself if that thing about why he left was true, physically and mentally worn out... however, its VERY good for TNA, angle is one of the best workers in the business injured or not

One of my favorite matches ever was Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit. Those guys know what the hell they are doing.

Funny stuff! Did you watch the video on the side featuring Rhino's "Farewell" to ECW? I did, and I have to say that some of his comments rang true.

when he burned the "ECW title" yeah, I saw it but really ECW was never all that much about rhyno, he came in way later on in the game so for him to say he and the tna guys were the heart of ecw

Has the news broken that Batista's going to be in Smallville this year? I hope he bombs Clark and then Clark beats the shit out of him.

Hi.
Just for the record, wanted to say;
Stopped watching WWE when they gave Cena the belt for the third time, so soon.
Started watching TNA because of Angle.
Shutting up now. *runs for life*

haha. I stop watching every couple weeks because of the stupid stuff they are doing but I tune in again because I am a glutton for punishment i guess.
tna is getting better now that angles there I think, his confrontation with samoa joe was a good moment for me recently but the real name that keeps me in tna is the big daddy cool Kevin Nash, i dunno how many of you saw the promos he was cutting with shelley but he was on fire and now that his contract is renewed they are back so yeah, tna has been pretty interesting recently... except the whole sting/doulble j feud that was tired about a year or so ago.

I bought SD vs Raw 2007 for PS2 yesterday, it's really good. Higly recommend it to everyone who likes wrestling and games, or just fighting games in general.

How would you rate the Story Mode and the Create A Wrestler Mode? The quality of these two things will help me decide if I buy the game or not.

It's a very strong game, weak graphically compared to the last one, but much better to play. Much better.

Not to be pedantic, but I can find an equally ridiculous non-hit in the much-ballyhooed ladder match at Armageddon. (At least until the YouTube editors wake up and take it down, anyway).
