The new Kevin Smith movie, Clerks 2, opened today (July 21, 2006). I saw it a 11:25 A.M. with three of my friends, and we all loved it. I'm a fan of all of Kevin Smith's movies, and this one was probably one of his best (his other movies include Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, and Jersey Girl). I don't want to ruin anything, so all I'm going to say it that it is an extremely funny movie.

I saw it earlier tonight, and it was hilarious. The audience all clapped at the end of it, which was cool. It's a shame that more people don't go and see this movie (I read somewhere that Little Man brought in more money, which is just disgusting).

Little Man? The movie that basically rips off an old Bugs Bunny cartoon? AAARGH, I wish the Wayons family would stop making stupid movies... For those who haven't seen it, be warned: there's a lot in there that could potentially offend you...but it's damn funny. I mean like "fall out of your seat" funny. ;D

so at first when i heard about the movie like a year ago and the title was passion of the clerks i feared it would be unsuccesful and lame but now that I saw it just a few minutes ago (i hate myself for being a week late) i have to say in all honesty that
wait for it
it was FREAKING AWESOME! not only was it funny as all hell the jail scene was the dramatic scene that rivals any that were in chasing amy. i thought randall dante and becky were handled perfectly as were all the many cameos spread throughout it. oh, you have to give it to kevin smith for including his mom, daughter, and wife in the movie. really awesome, i would type more but frankly i don't want to because i can't with all the awesomeness running through my veins that i was filled by from watching that movie. oh, and pillowpants was genius.

I missed Harley. Was she the little girl that saw Dante on the toilet? "Don't look, honey."

no it was the girl in the restaurant that waved to dante when he was looking for becky although the dad that said that was none other than scott mosier himself, a man who sounds an awful lot like our own killerseamonkey.

I am off to see Clerks 2 tonight. I am the biggest Kevin Smith fan around so I am excited. The funny thing is, this will be the first time I peep one of his flicks at the theater. I just don't like to go there much. But it's date night with my fav girls(Wife & Sis-in-law)so we are going!

That was a totally fun flick. I don't know what else to say. It was so wrong in so many ways but it felt so right! It wasn't even close to his best flick because it seemed forced in so many different scenes. Jen can't act worth a damn. There was alot of cool stuff in between to make up for it. So, I enjoyed the hell out of it none the less! A worthy addition to the view askew universe.

Just thought I'd bumped this thread considering the movie is on DVD now (It just came out on DVD yesterday). Maybe more people will get a chance to see it now.

Is pillowpants anything like fingercuffs? Because if so... scary Unfortunately I was working non stop when the movie came out and didn't get to see it in theatres. But plan on buying the dvd in the next couple of days.
Has anyone seen the movie Vulgar the Clown? It's a Kevin Smith movie that came out afew years ago. I've heard alot of good things about it but haven't been able to find a copy yet.

It's not BY Kevin Smith (I think it might be produced by him, and have a cameo), but it's by View Askew and has Brian O'Halloran in.
Looks weird though.

Vulgar's a good movie, but it certainly is weird. I'd classify it as a very dark comedy, considering it takes a sharp turn at funny and goes to horrifying. I wasn't told anything about the plot before I saw it, and that made some instances in the film more shocking, so I won't ruin anything for you. Just be warned that it is very odd, but good.
