What's the first book you pick up and put on the counter? What makes you *squee* at the sheer idea of having it in your hands? What makes you think "huh, I love this book?"... I have no idea what to say next, other than... Get sharing!

I only get my comics every 4-6 weeks so I have a lot to choose from 40-50 books in that span. I am just now caught up on Crisis and ready to dive into the OLY stuff from DC. With all that said, I have two books that come to mind.
1) Manhunter has to be the coolest book at DC right now. With its execution called off by Governor Didio, I can't wait to see what the future holds for the baddest chick in the land, Kate Spencer!
2) I just read the first 3 issues of 52 and I was more then a little surprised. Not only do I think the dream team producing this book is great but the story has me wanting more each week!

I have to agree with John on Manhunter, that book and Birds of Prey are the two that I look forward to the most. Although 52 is right up there in my top five, the other two being Batman and JSA.

Robin, Teen Titans, and Green Lantern are the books that I anticipate the most right now...though in the past few months I've been really excited about damn near every book I get because of OYL(the one I don't jump for joy over being Nightwing).

Right now, i'm really into the Exiles.
I don't care if it's not DC. I still love it.

MY best books include Wolverine: Origins and Astonishing X-Men... I don't mind a bit of Marvel...

Ion #1 was subpar. Green Lantern #11 on the other hand... I love that new Cyborg-Superman redesign.

GL #11 was the best of the series so far. I agree with you Charlie! I also thought that Ion #2 was much better then the first issue. It actually intrigued me a bit more.

Got to say, I'm enjoying the OYL Superman & Batman books! With the exception of Superman/Batman...
And yeah, GL #11 made me feel all warm inside!

It was the only bad thing in the book! But Joe Mad's new style is awesome!

I thought the latest issue was better, but it was hard not to be wowed by that crazy big Batcave fold-out.

52, Squadron Supreme, WW mostly 52. They have a good job with the storylines. I'm not saying I agree with the changes, but I like the way they are telling it. Squad is the best comic out, JMS and Gary Frank are great together. WW was a good start, but we will have to see where it goes.
The fold out batcave is the foil cover of the 90's. The little extra you add to a book that needs big help. Frank Miller mails it in for DC and puts all good ideas he has left into his self owned properties.

I'm artist oriented on a number of books I buy so the Jim Lee fold-out was the selling point for me. I'd have paid 3 bones for the Batcave pic alone. Actually, Jim Lee has been the main draw for me buying both the Hush storyline and All-Star so far.
Just picked up the last two Frankenstein comics from Seven Soldiers and I have to say that series was pretty frickin' cool.
