For me, I decided based on their enemies. Darkseid's main enemy is Superman and Galactus has trouble with the fantastic four. Just curious what you all think.

Darkseid all the way.
Darkseid has omega beams and conquers planets. He is evil and loves it.
Galactus is just a big hungry dolt. Could Redd Richards outsmart Darkseid, I think not.

Just to be contrary, I went with Galactus. He's way, way, way bigger than Darkseid, eats planets rather than just conquering them, and he can conjure up cosmic-powered heralds at a moment's notice. Besides, isn't Thanos Marvel's Darkseid equivalent? Then again, I guess that would be an even more one-sided poll.

Alright, due to popular demand, I'll tell you the outcome of that special DC/Marvel crossover. It's in invisio-text for any who don't want to be spoiled or disappointed.
Really, I'm giving this a disservice, since the comic is way better than my encapsulation can cover. It's a neat concept, and Byrne's best art in years. So if you do see it for a dime, pick it up!
SPOILERS SPOILERS!
So Galactus comes to eat Apocalypse. New Genesis foretold the arrival of Galactus and hid in fear (which ticked off Orion). So Galactus lands, and the big fight starts, but in the end it looks like Galactus won, and starts eating Apocalypse.
HOWEVER!
He finds no sustenance, since Apocalypse has expired of any usable life energy. The final dialog between Galactus and Darkseid went something like this:
G: "I can't eat this! It's rancid, and gross. It's like there's a party in my mouth and everyone is vomiting."
D: "Well, DUH!"
G: "If you knew that I couldn't eat your planet, then why did we fight?"
D: "Cuz this is my house, and I'm the big dog around here. Now get off my planet!"
THE END!
Oh, and the Silver Surfer dude laid the smackdown on our mack daddy, Orion.
'nuff said!
Now keep in mind that just how one writer saw it. What do you think the outcome would be? VOTE NOW!!!

Darkseid is certainly the better of the two. I'm not big on Fantastic Four, but I don't think that Galactus is their best villian. I'll take Doctor Doom over that planet eating guy any day.
