There was a story where a space traveler found this abandoned world where the inhabitants had stored all their information and preparded for their sun to go supernova. The traveler triangulated the sun in position to the earth or something like that and it turns out their sun going nova was what was seen as the star of bethelehem on earth.
Anybody remeber that story? Who wrote it? What it was published in? I'd like to find it and read it again.

It sounds like a Ray Bradbury story I read years ago, but damned if I can remember the title. I flipped through my Bradbury books and nothing jumps out at me. Sorry.  |

I don't remember it at all but a quick google search suggests it's Arthur C Clarke's "The Star" in The Nine Billion Names of God. 1967.

cool! does anyone remember that one movie that came out a few years ago with that one guy doing that one thing? it wasnt funny but it wasnt serious... kinda took place in that one time period... but not really. that one girl was also in that movie that came out this year.  |

"Ha Ha very funny, it is too laugh." Thanks for the help. I'll try looking for "The Star. Actually this was in graphic form so it may have been an adaptation of that. It may have been in Heavy Metal or Epic. |

Isn't there going to be sequel directed by that guy who did that film last year that was really big? With some up and coming stars who were in that teen movie a few years back...

Yes and that one actor is playing the one character that talks that certain way. The one who was based on that guy from that one country. Good stuff.
