Have a great time, B!
I think it's usually okay to have a few things for the pro to sign and to ask for a picture. I usually take my stuff in a backpack or in some way that's easy to carry and out of sight (just so it's never confused with the stuff I pick up at the vendor booths).
Take pictures and let us know how it goes!

Way ahead of you with the flyers idea, HoM! Going to pass them around as I'm walking around. Unless they stop me, that is.

Dude...at some point in my life I will go to the San Deigo comic con. It looks awesome but here in the Uk you never hear of stuff like that and if you do its never nearly as big in the States....like most things.

Well I did my first comic con today...and what a blast! I did get to meet the legendary George Perez (and he had a heck of a line when I got there). He signed my issue 7 of IC, my New Teen Titans Vol 1 hardback, and my Crisis tpb, as well as letting me take a picture with him. Then I went later to hear him speak about IC and of course his Brave and the Bold with Mr. Waid. He was a very kind and generous man, who obviously still loves his work. It also appears that he will eventually be doing the art for LoSH's as well. He's very excited about that. He also mentioned that when IC comes out in a trade, they will be going back and correcting some of the artistic mistakes that were made. I did hand him a flyer of our site and quickly bragged up our own local artists. Also got to see Adam West, Burt Ward, Tony Dow, Charlene Tilton, the guy who played the original Boomer in Battle Star Galactica, Julie Newmar, Yvonne DiCarlo, and the guy who played the son on Married With Children (boy is he short!) But the unexpected hi-lite for me was getting an autographed picture, a hand shake, and my own picture of the two of us, with Brent Spiner. He was a super guy who did a question and answer period to a packed house. He was funny, insightful, and had the audience in stitches when talking about some of the goofiness that went on during the long nights of filming TNG. One comment that I found very interesting was when asked who was the nicest person from the original cast he quickly answered, "DeForest Kelly", and then made the comment, "And don't ask me anything about Bill Shatner, if I can't say anything nice about someone I don't say anything at all." That got some mummers from the crowd. Anyway, it was a super day that could have only been better if I could have shared it with my long time "partner in crime", but I got the feeling that he was there, watching...Charlene Tilton probably LOL! Anyway, when I get the pictures I'll post them here to share!

Well, I said I would post some pics, and hopefully I've figured out how to do it. So here they are. He was a very nice gentleman and I bought a Green Lantern mouse pad. This picture is actually very similar to my senior prom picture. The only person I spent money on to get an autograph. I begged him to do Data, but he eventually had me dragged away by security. My first hero in the art world of comics! George Perez! The shirt was a little disconcerting. Anyway, just thought I'd show y'all.

Sorry. You've got a pseudo-esque GA thing going on though. And how can anyone not like Perez? Cool looking bloke.
