Just hope & pray that the Superman series isn't created by the same folks responsible for TT... it works for that show, but I just couldn't picture Supes going Super-D with excitement...
I hear that the LSH though will be an amalgam of the TT & JLU styles.

The Supeman toon will most likely be by the guys doing the new Batman cartoon. So, heavy on the style, and not so strong on the stories.

so point chin and angular body superman it is. also the new batman series casts really bad voice actors for the looks of the characters. robert englund as the riddler, can't miss right? not unless he looks like marilyn manson. tsk tsk tsk i really do feel for the children of today.

Right, the Batman stuff is fine if not a little watered down, but the villians on the new cartoon are just a travesty. First the "extreme" new designs, and then the horrible characterizations. I mean, they removed the whole bit about Mr. Freeze's wife. He's just a guy with freeze powers. Then the Ventriloquist makes a giant robot version of Scarface to carry him around like a dummy?
What, are they high?
ALL they had to do was follow the Timm version and just do costume tweaks and tell more stories. It wasn't broke, but by golly they "fixed" it didn't they?
So yeah, expect that out of Superman. The Legion cartoon could work really well though I think. Maybe scale back the anime wackiness a bit from the Teen Titans cartoon and you're good to go I would say.

I think LoSH is in the fall. I haven't heard about Superman but I'm guessing soon so it can tie in with the movie.

I can't wait for the obvious merchandising ploy of... TOYS!!! Let's hope they're done by Mattel instead of Ban Dai.

IM really interested in this whole legion thing because unlike titans, there is really no one all that recognizeable to little kids unless they have a superboy or girl. I think that with their appearance on JLU... (highlight the spoiler) Supergirl will join them when they return to the future, mirroring the OYL retitling of the comic.But I don't think there will be any extras in their cartoon when it starts a.k.a. not directly tied to the Timmverse continuity. But yeah, it's a great idea that would work just great as a stand on it's own concept I think. And I certainly agree, Scott, toys! Uhhh... for the kids of course.  |
