All sounds cool to me. I really like Robin's new costume. The rest is still kinda difficult to tell (what's up with Nightwing, Batwoman, Batman, etc.). Big changes look to be in store with the new Aquaman, the Supergirl book, and I think there were some books missing in those solicits too. And holy smokes! Did you see what's going on with Green Arrow?! All in all it sounds pretty exciting to me.

And those Titans look like the cartoon/Wolfman & Perez line-up. Robin, Cyborg, Beast Boy, Starfire, but who the heck is the other person??

Did I miss something with Batwoman? I didn't see her anywhere in any of those. Well it's about time they put GA back in the hood. (pun is optional). A liberal leader in these political times sounds interesting to me!!! The new Robin uniform is awesome and I agree with KSM that it has an Earth 2 feel to it. Not sure about the new Blue Beetle but will give it a try. All in all...DC is hitting 2006 with a vengeance!

Amazingly, in a universe that's remained (for the most part) mostly status quo for a very long time, I believe we are going to see some real-world-like progression in character! I'm onboard--- plus I will be adding the Batbooks to my pull list now, officially making Firestorm the only DC title I don't buy (just never got into the character).

Ok heres the deal I rarely read DC and never keep up to date...the thing I like about DC is more the look off the characters but all in all I prefer Marvel. But the Bat family I think are awesome especially theres style. Ok what my rambling is suppposed to mean is basically can I please see the pics of these updated character desgins your talking about. Robins looks so much better...I hated the green on the costume. he never seemed to match Batman and the darkness of him. I mean I knew he was what kept Bats sane and stuff but bright red, yellow and GREEN! if I was bats I wouldda shot all of the Robins that ever turned up whereing green on the costume..........that made no sense.........Show me the pics d*mmit!

The link to the pics is in the first post by Doc... click the words "CHECK THIS"... and for pete's sake... simma down.
I like everything I see and read... being 98% DC reader it looks like all characters will be undergoing change. I missed the pics of Batwoman & GA though. I agree, Robin looks much better... almost a mix of the animated Tim Drake with the 'Battle of the Planets' cape... very cool.
Still not too sure about Supergirl & the LSH... but I love the LSH too much not to read it. And finally we get to see why Jason Todd is still alive!

i am 100 % DC reader because i only buy 2 monthlies. but i always liked the bright colors on robin. it was a perfect foil for the darkness of batman and showed his youth. I mean how realistic is a grim 12 year old running around fighting crime in a cape??? dont ask the producers of teen titans though. plus Robin should be bright and bold, came from the circus! how many circus performers wear black?? you wouldnt be able to see them!

Hey, I like the Robin Hood hat! This is what I'm wondering more and more, especially after the March solicits. Is there going to be a reboot? It's starting to look pretty obvious that there will be two Earths come March but I'm seeing a definate split in the approaches to the titles. Some seem to be ongoing continuity and others are beginning to look like a start over. Earth 2 oriented books look like the are following storylines like Birds of Prey, JSA, etc. But, regular titles are looking like new starts. Aquaman, Robin, Teen Titans, Superman, and certainly Flash and Wonder Woman. Could DC really be rebooting this time? One Year Later for E-2 will be just that, but for E-1 it will mean that they start in the action and will fill in the origins and such later with 52 and other books? At first I thought OYL would be a big singular thing and titles be returned to some normality later, but consider that 52 would set up the entire new status quo (also added to by the fact they are running a History of the DCU backup feature in each issue) for a brand new DC. So, is that really Dick in that Robin suit? Could that actually be THE Aquaman? Will the new Flash title bring us Barry back? DC didn't do this last time with COIE because they wanted to keep continuity running for long-time fans (and went on to mash several continuities into one to sometimes confusing effect) but this time they could keep continuity with Earth 2, allowing them to do something as bold as The Big Reboot with Earth 1. What do you think?

I'm optomistic, but a bit wary. We could see a new and exciting direction for not only DC, but comics as a whole. OR... we could see DC having to do it's own "heroes reborn". Imagine the mess if DC sees this as a mistake in two to three years and tries to backpedal out of it?

I really hope they keep it to 1 Earth. I like the fact that Elseworlds has been other Earths... I don't know. I'll keep an open mind... but I was happy with the mashed up history, especially post ZH.
We'll see... only a few short months!
And GA's Robin Hood cap was cool... but then we were introduced to the much cooler version in Longbow Hunters. I've missed the hooded look. I only hope that it's a matter of time before DC2 GA dons the hood!

hmmm.....GA in the hood. Personally I like both looks but with the right reasons behind it, I could see GA go for the hood look. In fact, I feel a story coming on...

Then again... I do have a theory regarding one in-continuity (non vertigo & non wildstorm) book that has taken place on an alternate Earth. And if you read it and have paid attention since issue 1 (it's currently at issue 12) you see the signs & hints along the way.
It takes place on our Earth (Prime)... Anyone have any guesses? Unless of course, this discussion has already been had... In which case. Sorry, I thought I was clever.

The hints are all over the series... Check out issue 1... the clubhouse scene. Keep in mind, this is a very well educated theory. Taken from what I've read, mixed with what I've actually heard from Kitson.
The series isn't so bad if you take it for what it is... LSH light. Mark Waid has interesting ideas... it's just that his track record isn't that good when it comes to follow through. I remember his big thing throughout his Flash run was: "This arc, Flash dies!!!" That was almost every arc... it got old. Quickly. In stark contrast, Kingdom Come was brilliant.
I just find it sad that it looks as though they finally will kill off Wally & Waid has no part in it.
