Evangelion is great, really really good, but I prefer Fullmetal Alchemist, Midori no Hibi and Fantasy: Children. Evangelion I saw it when I was about 6-7 years old, saw it complete, but can't remember all of it.

I haven't seen Neon Genesis yet but heard it was good. The anime shows I've seen and enjoyed are Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Fooly Cooly, the later Kikaider eps, and the Perfect Cell stuff from DBZ.

Well, I still prefer Midori no Hibi, Get Backers, Samurai Champlo, Cowboy Bebop, and FMA. But I also think I need to see it again.

Neon Genesis is awesome. It's one of those few shows that got me thinking and when I heaqrd about the ending for the first time I got really sad but after hearing the whole story from both the manga and the anime I think it actually makes sense.
Love FMA! Masterful stuff there. I write fanfics for that show and it's awesome.

The movie ties up the lost ends but there are many theories behind it's thinking. Some say he only made it to piss off all those people who sent him death threats and in some scenes we see clips of those letters. We also see Shinji doing something very wrong with a comatose Asuka (twisted stuff) and it proves to the whole process of Instrumentality. There's also a theory that the ending is left the way oit is so you decide their final fate, making you god over the roverbial Adam and Eve. (Anyone who knows how it ends knows what I mean.)

Nice job blowing the ending! I was trying to keep it on the down low Shoe! Sheesh.
Yes, he stays an individual, but the actions he and Asuka do when they're all alone being the only humans is what defines the changes in their characters.

Well, it's not like they'll be able to guess the alternative!

Neon Evangelion is hands down one of the best animes I've ever seen. When I say one of the best, I mean that it is original, doesn't have random gel-haired, screaming main characters who may be arrogant yet still have a heart of gold, and that it makes you say wow.
After seeing that show, and actually getting my girlfriend into it, I could only say "wow". I would watch two episodes before I went to sleep in high school (I saw the original japanese ones) and my head would be jumbled with all kinds of thoughts. There are times where it might be a bit much (it took me a couple of times to watch the ending episodes and the movie that really ends it all off) to absorb all of it in.
I don't know where these people get their ideas but some anime rocks. It's good to see at least one thought provoking, well animated animes amidst the myriad possible pokemon-dragon ball z-yu gi oh clones and spin offs, not to mention all of the american cartoons mimicing anime cartoons.
