Pretty simple. Scott Bakula and a badass Hologram who smokes cigars or Jerry Oconnel and a rag tag group of reality hoppers.

Although I watched QL religiously, Sliders was just more fun.

Bakula easy. But I enjoyed Sliders because it was a clever, albiet cliched done before concept and I tried to watch it whenever I could... But Quantum Leap is on reruns at the moment, and it's AWWWESOME!

Although I watched QL religiously, Sliders was just more fun. I agree sliders was more fun, but I have to admit the QL stories were better. So my vote goes for QL.

I started the poll but I didnt comment. I voted QL because I love how every episode ended the same way. "Oh boy." And no matter what kind of loser he leaped into he managed to be a smooth operater and didnt lose any badassness even when he had to wear a dress a few times.

Oh yeah and Jerry Oconnel is kind of a punk. Although he does score points for scoring with Rebecca Romane and voicing Captain Marvel.

I really liked the concept for Sliders and thought they did a decent job but overall it was just "eh". Parallel worlds is a fun idea that they really worked but after awhile it became more about the evil whatever-those-where which was lame. The cast was an odd mix too that never really played all that well off each other. Star Trek:TOS did more interesting things with the parallel worlds idea in just a few odd eps than Sliders was really able to accomplish throughout its run.
Quantum Leap on the other hand seemed like a shaky, hard to manage idea that they really worked amazingly well. To be honest, the success of the show hinged solely on Scott Bakula's great performances and he has my undying respect for his work on that show (no matter how watered down and underutilized he was on Enterprise). Plus, Dean Stockwell is the coolest. Everytime time I see him I can't help but think of him as the slighty-in-drag Frank from BLUE VELVET: "The candy-colored clown they call the Sandman." Woo! LOL. Plus he was great as the holy man with a "message" on the Battlestar Galactica finale this year.
Quantum Leap gets my vote!

It's all about Quantum Leap, baby!
I loved how the show really showcased all of Scott Bakula's diverse talents -- singer, actor....but most of all, the show had such a great *heart*.
It's one of the few shows where there are episodes that no matter how many times I see them, I just cry (including the final episode)...and it's one of the few shows that I was really invested in, both intellectually and emotionally.
Some of the 'evil leaper' episodes got a little contrived, but they're just a blip on the radar given the overall quality and originality of the show.
And Dean Stockwell.....what a great actor in his own right. His chemistry with Sam was just letter-perfect.
My late husband and I would watch together when USA network ran the episodes at midnight years ago. I think he taped the entire run of the show.
