Suddenly I remember back to 1985, and that legendary limited series, and I remember the shock I felt when reading the greatest-ever wearer of the Flash costume was dead, so long before his time. Yes, if he was on the list, I'd definitely have voted for Cheeks The Toy Wonder.

Wally West. He is the best Flash. In second place, Barry. Maybe Zoom.

Barry or Wally. Anyone else and I don't think it will work.

I voted for Barry but would be more then happy with Wally as well. I really think it is to soon for Bart and none of the others really intrigue me enough to see them as the central character. (Although I love Jay in the JSA)

I love Wally, and Barry second (it took me a while to get over Barry being suceeded by Wally actually) but I think if they made Bart older I'd give it a shot simply because it's similar in some ways to the way Wally came in.
But Bart...I don't know...they only really established him as a "maturing" young adult the past year or two, which is only what, a few months in DC time. It's like they've been trying to get Bart into a serious role but it's a relatively a bit sudden.

Wally!! If it aint broke don't fix it. I wouldn't say that was a reason... Barry Allen was especially unbroken, yet he got taken out... I vote Zolomon!

I voted for Jay, mainly because I like him in the JSA and I think he would do well as a central character in a book. I like the Flash in general though, so I'll pick up the book no matter what.

I would be okay with Barry coming back I guess, as long as Wally is around in some form. It is too soon for Bart. It would make him a fourth generation Flash and most legacies haven't moved to the second yet.I would just like to see them stop playing hot potato with the Flash legacy.

I agree about Hal... the 15 issues leading up to his breakdown were some of the most boring GL stories ever written! I was one of the few Hal fans that applauded the much-needed arrival of Kyle Rayner.
But come on... Barry got plastic surgery to change his face after being beaten to an unrecognisable pulp... then, mysteriously looked like Barry again. Granted he did look more like John Wesly Shipp after the surgery. And you have to admit the trial of the Flash was about 10 issues longer than it had to be.
The Hawkman debacle, though convoluted and totally wacked out was at least entertaining... I was always amazed out how, while trying to figure out continuity flubs, only succeeded in screwing it more. I always wondered why they didn't just set Hawkworld in the past...
What can you do?
