Here's a link to a new Grant Morrison interview where he discusses Seven Soldiers, All-Star Superman, Hypertime, WildCATS, and lots of other wacky things. As usual for Morrison, it's loaded with brainbending crazy talk but darned if it isn't entertaining stuff. www.silverbulletcomicbooks.com/features/112602239631900.htmHere's my favorite bit from the interview: " I don’t like to think in terms of ‘relevance where this project is concerned. Our wish is to do a collection of ‘timeless’ Superman issues. A big, beautiful book of Superman that you can give to a kid or yer gran or anyone else and they'll dig it and treasure it until it's a dog-eared antique. We’re not trying to make it seem ‘real’ in any sense other than emotionally real. It's the Superman of your dreams - like when you find that weird comic store with all the amazing cool stuff on the racks..." That's funny because I've had that "weird comic store with all the amazing cool stuff on the racks" dream.

I couldn't believe his work on the X-men. I love the X-men, but in so many ways they are frozen in amber. Chris Claremont is just killing them from what I've heard. Morrison is at his best with the science fiction themes and his characterization is perfect. I got chills when when I first saw Cassandra Nova call Wolverine "James"....I buy anything with his name on it. Frank Quitely's work is interesting in that eveyone is so damn ugly but I still want to see more, I don't know how he does that but it's true haha.
