well, according to this news clip here... newsarama.com/comics/090228-wondercon09-dc-universe.htmlMorrison won't be back on the main Bat-title in June. Instead, it's going back to Winick. Ok, before this gets started, I'd like to say that, while I wasn't crazy about Winick's previous run (scarebeast, anyone?) I did like it a whole lot better than what Morrison's been doing.... Unlike most people, I think Winick (despite his many flaws) did some great characterization on Ollie and the gang... My only problem with his run was that the search for Connor was dragged out WAAAAY too long and it was anti-climactic. So, in closing, I think Winick's return to Batman will be... interesting to say the least. I'm just afraid that this might mean that Jason Todd will be the new Batman..... ugh... scary thought.... your thoughts? -Cam-

I don't like how Winnick writes.

I'm going to go find the post I made on Newsarama:
I'm a big fan of Judd Winick's work, his Batman run was tight (loved his characterisation of Black Mask, freaking terrifying) and his reintroduction of Mr Freeze was top-notch. I think he does get a bad rap, and certain works do shove his agenda in our faces (Green Arrow hurt after a while) but I think he'll do some damn fine work on the Batman title. I'm picking it up!
I followed him on Batman till the end, and I followed him on Green Arrow. I gave up Outsiders by OYL, and I just have to say this: He can write well. He can! Sometimes he gets distracted by being too preachy, but when he's not, when he's controlled by a good editor, he tells brilliant stories that I'm going to look forward to when they hit the stands.
His characterisation of Batman/Nightwing in his secondary run issues (and also the introduction of Red Hood) was pitch perfect (and it didn't hurt that he had Doug Mahnke on art!!) and really, I have the utmost faith in his work. He grew on me like John Romita Jr's art did, and so I'm honestly looking forward to this.

Well if Jason Todd becomes Batman this won't be too bad cause frankly in my opinion, Jason has only been well written since he returned by Judd Winick in "Under the Hood" and had a pretty good appearance in that short arc of GA that Winick also wrote. I think if anyone can write Jason Todd it's Judd Winick(as much as I don't like a lot of his work)

I mean, I'm looking forward to Battle for the Cowl, I love the idea of upteen Batmen running around and I'm looking forward to the new status quo established after the mini. I'm wondering if there'll be three Batman at the end of the event, one for each title (Dick in Batman & Robin, Jason in Batman and Tim Drake in Detective Comics?!), that might be freaking insane! What can I say? I'm looking forward to this! I like not knowing what's going to happen next, for once.

well, they've already announced that Batmwoman will be the star of detective after Battle for the Cowl, but they still haven't said who will star in the Red Robin series..... I'm betting it's either Tim or Jason.......
oh, and, honestly, I have to admit.... I kind of liked Judd's first "Scarebeast" story..... Nguyen's art helped me like it more, but it was a good idea, for a one-time event... I don't like that fact that he brouht it back later.... it was a god one-time idea, but sucks as a permanent, to me at least...... my favorite scarecrow story to date is the one the Rozum did in Detective two years back, where crane did everything without his fear toxin, showing that he really was a master of fear....... those two issues gave me chills!

Yeah it's hard to guess who will be Red Robin because all three of the "bat kids" have had something to do with that identity. Dick was RR in Kingdom Come, Jason in Countdown, and Tim wore the Red Robin cowl in a recent story arc...hmmmm...

I don't like his use of shock follows shock. It feels odd and not well used, even in comic book standards. The idea of Jason Todd coming back to life... I find it boring and that it tones down a fundamental point in Batman's career. His Outsiders I found pretty meh. His Titans and the parts I read from GA/BC were pretty bad.
I really don't like him as a writer.
ALSO: Battle of the Cowl = Reign of the Superman. UGH.

PS: Oh God I had forgot about his Shazam! Why did you maKe me remember? WHY!?!?

I alway say I like when the writers and collaborators take chances and altering the title of Batman is... a huge huge chance.. But I like this.. I hope they do it well. I agree with my esteemed colleague on this one.
