God. It hasn't even been a year since they cancelled it. Why did they cancel such a good series, only to bring it back later, with pretty much no direction change whatsoever? Didio needs to get his act together!

Didio needs to get his act together! -D.L. Mann The change is dramatic, and it's a genius one-- Simone and Benes are back. The fans will return in droves (heck, I'm contemplating picking it up again) and Gail's wanting for this series is palpable! She doesn't want to let it go again, she makes this title great! It's going to be brilliant. |

It's going to be brilliant. I agree with charlie, the change is dramatic enough. Gail back on this title is genius, bop was a bit lacking to say the least when gail left, and it also looks as if they may be operating outa gotham, perhaps even the bat cave, with the inclusion of the batmobile esque car, which they hadn't done for a long time, there are two new characters, who will probably be batgirl and red robin, though I would prefer cassandra as she rocked, and come on, this is the best news about a book in a lonnnng time!! |

All good ideas but you know what would make a real kick in the head? Bring Knockout back from the dead to the Birds and then see how well that would play off Gail's Secret Six "family"  |

OH THANK GOD GAIL'S COMING BACK! The quality of the book just slowly slid downhill after she left, until I reached the point of "Why am I buying this book?" (same thing happened to me during the period between Chick Dixon's departure and Gail coming on). Then DC played "mercy killing" and cancelled it, thereby making the decision for me. I will look in on the first issue, same as I did with the revamped Bat-books, and hopefully I'll like what I see. |
