“I don’t know if you’ve noticed. But I don’t exactly do pacifism.” Best. Line. Ever. God, I love fight issues and this one was a real row. Not quite on the scale of your massive Danger Trail/New Outsiders battle royale, but impressive nevertheless. Matching Kendra and Harvest Moon against each other was certainly appropriate (unstoppable force, unmovable object and all that). And I really don't know if it's Don or Sam who is handling Amy's dialogue but you've pretty much nailed that youthful bravado and enthusiasm dead on. Although I expect that, after this fight, she might be considering something other than a dress when in action! Dawn's increasing control over various spirits is interesting as is Wenonah's upcoming ritual. I don't think it'll be long before those two are on a collision course with each other. Unless she somehow has a run-in with Zenobia first. Too bad for Jonni though that she had to stick her hands in the fountain to help. I'm sure that wasn't much fun at all. Although, it was probably for the best. I'm not too much sure how much longer Harvest's body could have handled the strain of growing much more. And poor Tom. You just KNOW that things aren't going to be that simple when the government gets involved. I think in a little while he and Chloe Sullivan could share commiseration stories. And now that I'm pondering future events, why do I have the feeling that the trio of Gypsy, Halo and Amethyst is just going to get themselves in so much trouble? Finally, the cover. Dear God, that cover. Steve is just The Man. Awesome issue, guys! You know I'll be back for the next!

We both love writing Kendra, and that line you quoted is a big part of the reason why.
Thanks for the nice words, James, it's a lot of fun writing up this little group of heroines and their opponents. A lot of the points you touch on will be getting expounded on, you can count on it. Dawn and Wenonah, Amy trying to fit in with the other youngsters of the group, Jonni continuing to deal with powers she's not a big fan of, politics in Tom's job (an area I love writing in, espionage and politics...when written well, and correctly, there's just so many things to have fun with), and so much more to come.
And yes, thanks a million times to Steve for the last couple of covers. This one was so vibrant, and so much fun, and he really did nail Amethyst and her personality, and the reaction of everyone involved in the slugfest. He'll be back in the future, I'm sure, but next issue, Blueserjo (our illustrator for BoP #3) will be tackling the cover, and I'm eager to see that one too. Sam and I have been blessed with great cover artists.
Take care Don

I'm a bit late in reading this, but it was 5 stars full of fun! Love the Amethyst stuff (she's gonna be just as much a handful as Misfit in the DCU BoP, I bet!) and the overall fight was structured very well, easy to follow despite everything going on. Plus a shout-out to my home state of Michigan! ;D

Thanks a lot for the compliments, Susan. We keep trying to do our best on this series, the characters mean a lot to us. To see five stars in eight issues (the All-Star Comics three-parter, and then the regular series) from you, that means a whole lot to me, and something I'm going to keep striving for.
Take care Don
