Super job on the cover, Roy! I like the use of shadow on Dark Superman's face and the overall color palette. Awesome!

This story is heating up! Superman really took a beating from, well, himself, right?
Charlie is building an interesting Kryptonian mythology, reminiscent of the old headband-days (my personal favorite version of Krypton), and this new Black Zero concept is very cool!
After reading this, I found myself thinking: what if Krypton had been saved, and millions of yellow-sun powered supermen and -women were at large in the universe; no doubt, some of them would turn to villainy... would Oa go to war against them? This of course prompted a question: who would win in a fight between an empowered Kryptonian and a GL? In most circumstances, I would say the Kryptonian, but I guess it would depend on the will power of the GL, huh? Imagine a Daxamite or a Coluan with a power ring!
The interaction with Lois on the roof was a neat twist--- it's been a long time since we've seen those two as "buddies"!
Looking forward to the next issue!

Thanks for the kudos. I did have an assist on this cover from our illustrious art editor. I'm still working out the intricacies of Photoshop. Coming up with a good cover is easy when the story rocks! The downside is it's hard to pick a favorite scene....

It's not about power on its own, Dave... It's about WILL power. Just because they have super powers doesn't mean they have stronger will power. In my opinion that is...

I seem to remember a Jim Starlin story where superman and GL went at it in deep space, and GL willed up a big ole hunk of kryptonite *though I don't see how that would work cause he would have to know how to build it form the atoms up for it to work* anyway- Supes managed to defeat him by finding the one thing yellow....the "S" on the back of his cape! Anyways I digress...so sometimes having the will doesn't have the way...

Another great story Chuck! I agree that the scene between Lois & Supes was great. It has indeed been a long time since they've been just friends. It was refreshing! I really feel for Jar... he seems to have his ass handed to him on a regular basis! Also, great way to incorporate Oan history into Kryptonian mythos... I was bracing myself for continuity issues & found not a one! Bravo!
Now onto the Superman vs. GL debate... I honestly don't know who would win in a fight... I do think the outcome would depend on the Lantern in question & his experience level. For example: Supes vs. Arisia, a no-brainer, Supes would be the victor... Supes vs. Kilowog, I believe the outcome would be much different. Then again, it could go differently if, say, Arisia had the molecular knowledge of Kryptonite & could create it...
So, long story short, it depends on the Lantern! In the DC2 Universe, if Hal & Supes got into a fight, Supes would win hands down. Hal would rush into the thick of it without thinking. But... Hal just did get his ring... a little more experience & that could turn the table!

I like the bad guy and the small but satisfying hints to the Clark/Lois relationship. Good psychosis and I like that he has visions of his parents to help raise his spirits but you guys did that last saga. Let's not fall into a rut guys. ;D

Yet another great issue. I really enjoyed the nods to Lois and Clark's relationship...I found everything almost perfect here. Keep up the good work!

Did no one pick up a cameo role by a mysterious someone in this issue? If not, forget I said anything...
