I cringed a little when I saw that Superman was on trial. ::)The idea to me always seemed silly. Of course the idea that people wouldn't recognize Superman and Clark Kent as one and the seem always seemed silly to me as well. Then I began to read it. Very interesting. Then I read some more and when it was over, all I thought was BRILLIANT!!!! Superman not being recognized as human! Murder wouldn't be a crime! I loved it! I am not too sure that Superman would approve of Adrian Chase as Vigilante if he knew more about him. That could make an interesting moment if they meet again! I had my doubts that the concept would work but great storytellers make things work when others screw it up. You are a great storyteller! Can't wait to see how it all ends!

I love these off-beat tales where the heroes aren't doing their normal routines, yet they still act heroic. This story has the feel of old-school comic books, right down to the stereotypic bumbling thugs. Though I enjoy the blood-and-guts of modern comics, just seeing that there are stories like this still around makes me smile (and not feel too old). Great job so far; I can't wait to see how this wraps up (I see Luthor in our future).

Great work, Doc! I enjoyed the whole thing, and loved the fact that it was Clark who came to the rescue. I really enjoyed your take on Mr. Kent. Can't wait to read the conlusion to this.

The court proceedings came off as odd to me. Judging by the line of reasoning Chase was pursuing, I thought he was going to say that Supes should be covered by diplomatic immunity. The end result (Superman isn't human and can't be held to human laws) comes off as slightly racist to me, in the sense that he comes off as superior to humans -- instead of white supremecy, we now have Kryptonian supremecy. I'm sure that's not what you had in mind, Doc, but that's kind of how it read to me. I'll stick around for Part 3 to see where you're going with this. On the plus side, I liked Clark sneaking around and playing "hero".
