A worthy conclusion to this three part tale that really summed up the character of Superman in a way that hasn't been done before on this site. A majesty of a story Doc, you've done good!

Bravo Doc!
I also enjoyed the wrap-up of this 3 pater.the way you used the old DCU villain of Brainstorm was inspired and pulled-off to perfection.
I also like how you keep the continuity strong between the two S books.
Looking forward to #9...

Very nice! Once again we see no matter how you strike against him, Superman always prevails! All this did was make me look forward to the upcoming crisis even more. Here's to waiting for the next one!

Thanks everyone. I'm glad you all liked it. If you didn't like it, then you're happy I'm done with it . Everyone wins! ;D I'll be putting in an article detailing some trivial, intersting and nonsensical points I wrote into the story.

Great job Doc. Nice explanations without being too longwinded. I particularly like the standoff scene. Nice stuff. Kudos!

Thanks Roy, glad you liked the stand-off. I really wanted to punish Lex Luthor at the end, but finally settled on Superman having the moral victory.
You were a great artist to work with, I hope we get to work on a project again sometime. Well, I guess we will with Supergirl... *plug plug* ;D

Outstanding wrap up, Doc! I also thought that the stand-off was superb. I hope to see you writing more here, because I would definitely be one of the first to read it!

Good wrap-up to the story arc. Superman's character rises instead of his power to defeat his foe this time. The stalemate with Luthor was well done. I didn't think the epilogue explanations were necessary; I thought the story should have ended with the showdown. And any story with Captain Marvel in it (even if only an illusion) gets huge points in my book.
You spin a mean yarn. I'm sorry to see you leaving this title.

Thank you Doc. This was one helluva Superman tale. You crawled inside Superman's head and showed us that he is human indeed. You tied together elements from other stories and ended your arc on a high note. Everything about this tale worked. I look forward to whatever you offer up next.
As for the cover: Another Flinchum Superman classic. I loved covers like this as a kid and even more as an adult! Great job!

Thanks Empire. I loved these kind of covers too, that why I do them. I'm glad you enjoy them.

This may come as a surprise, but after Hawkman and the JSA, Superman is my favorite DC property (in fact, I am typing this while wearing my Big Red 'S' t-shirt!), and I really like to see stories that explore the symbolism and inherent moral goodness of the character. Superman is the embodiment of what is best in the human condition (despite that he's from Krypton), and Doc celebrates this admirably in this fantastic arc. The Man of Steel fights for Truth, Justice and the American Way not because he's driven by tragedy (Batman), or that he has a mission (Wonder Woman), or even because he feels responsible by virtue of his incredible powers (Spiderman)--- he does it because it is the right thing to do. And Luthor will never beat him because he doesn't understand that kind of altruism. And that's why I wear this Big Red 'S' shirt proudly (and why I have two more in my closet... ). Thanks for such a great story, Doc! Now, about this secret (Elseworlds) Supergirl collaboration between you and Roy... When can we expect to see it debut?

I finally read this arc and I really enjoyed it. I for some reason cant help but to read your take on Supes as Chris Reeves. Its a good thing. Especially the scenes where he is Clark and kind of bumbling around. Great job!
