Alright, guys. Regrettably I might have to postpone this issue until next week. I've busted my butt trying to get it out on time but the cover's still half-done and the story still needs a final scene. And I'm afraid I've missed my "window of opportunity" this week (aka the time I set aside for working on the stories and covers). Scott, double checked with me before the solicit and I thought I could get it in but with a round of illnesses here at home and extra time at work it's been a struggle.
Very sorry about the delay and I hope it is worth the wait. Thanks for your understanding on this.

Hope everything gets better around the home-stead. I know how that can be. And I know it'll be worth the wait, your stories always are.

Of course it'll be worth the wait, because no matter what's said... Brandon rocks at everything Apart from time management!

Time.... management...?
What do these words mean? Apart I understand the meanings but when you stick them together it looks like gibberish. Can't... quite... figure it out...

It's up! IT'S UP!!
Yep, the much belated and beleaguered issue of Aquaman is finally posted!
Very sorry to any of you who have been waiting for this. I could give you the big sad story on how my personal schedule crashed and burned over the past month but most of you have probably have heard it already. Needless to say steps have been taken to straighten this out and get everything, mainly this book, back on track.
Anyway, it's posted now so I hope you enjoy it! If you do then please post any comments, questions, or criticisms you may have here. I'll post up a little of extra behind-the-scenes info on this one tomorrow.

That... Was worth the wait. HA! But question: Next Issue: I would tell you, but you wouldn't believe it. Does this mean... It'll be on time? I'm loving this book, from something I had a hard time getting my head round, to something I look forward to every... Other month! For more Aquaman, check out Powers, Inc. #4

Aquaman every other month, or two Aquaman issues in one month? Time will tell... Glad you enjoy the book and gave it a chance to begin with. Aquaman is a hard sell, but I keep having faith that if I write good stories, the fans will come. All four of them!

Well I hope you've included me in that four, because I am a huge fan of this book! This issue was no exception. You just have a wonderful way of telling the story that flows seamlessly. And that little revelation at the end was perfect. Even without it I would keep coming back, but that just made it even more intriguing! Excellent job, Sir!

I must be fan #3. I also love this book. I really do enjoy your stories more than the DCU versions. I think this might be the best issue yet.
Love the backstory into Arthur's childhood. You're starting to get into some deep characterizations here and it's interesting to see the influences that make Arthur tick.
"Aquacave"? Love it. Though I find Arthur a little trusting to share this obviously personal retreat with someone he doesn't know.
Good surprise ending. Makes me want to read the next issue even more. Hopefully in one month....? Great job on a great title.

Um, the typos are now fixed too. ;D Thanks for the kind words guys. The info at the end was important to the overall Krell story, but we won't find out what it means for a little while. Aquaman's going to be pretty busy until IXE. Batarang: Yeah, it was a fast friendship to be allowed into the cave, but there were several factors where I thought it would work: Lisa helping Aquaman recover, her living in his old home, her reminding him of someone he once knew and inviting herself, and plus Atlanteans are slightly telepathic and might be able to intuit a person's nature better than humans. Uh, yeah, that's it! Telepathy! Ha. Okay, yeah it was a little quick, but I worked that scene over about five times in my head before I settled on that one. At first there was a friend helping her get Aquaman back to the lighthouse and take care of him. Then it was her gay friend. Then she was gay (well, bisexual, can't be outdone by Batwoman now can we? ;D ). Then Aqualad was worked in because I need him in the rest of the story. First they were going to use her computer to track Trident. Then it became the Atlantean computer in the cave. Yeah, lotsa back and forth on this. A note of interest on Lisa Morel and her "friend" Selena, they were actually the first two Aquagirls in comic continuity! Find out more here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aquagirl

Four? I think not! Fan # 5 right here, buddy! I don't think Aquaman's a tough sell... I just don't think the character has been handled well since PaD & the pre-1YL stories. The post 1YL story belongs in Warlord comics, not Aquaman... On with the show: Sorry for the belated review. I got side-tracked... much like you with posting the story in the first place , but mine was a lot more like a vacation in Hawaii & school. Spoilers Brandon, I enjoy the hell out of this title! With every issue I am 'hooked' in deeper & deeper! The startling revelation at the end of this issue I didn't see coming! Is the menacing Krell cloning his daughter??? Is Aquaman time displaced (well, probably not since Aqualad is still an Aqua'Lad') The Trident is now in the hands of... Trident! Next thing you're going to tell me is that some horrible crisis is coming that may delay this issues revelations! But no, you wouldn't be that cruel, would you?

Scott, Truly glad you are still enjoying the book. I'm furiously working on the conclusion to this story, which will be a whopper, so I can get caught up for next month's, uh.... something.... can't remember exactly.... well, I think it's supposed to be a big deal and should be fun. I just laid out the framework to Year Two of Aquaman to David several days ago and realized there's a lot of ground left to cover before I get to the end point in the overall story I originally planned out. You won't have to wait too long to find more out about the twisted world of Captain Krell as I hope to tackle that one the issue right after that thing next month. Plus there will be a few changes to catch up on so I hope to get the second year off to a running start!
