This is what I'm talking about! After a hefty delay between issues, the story continues, and it seems like not a moment has passed between #23 and #24 (though don't get complacent, Pat, we expect better from you ;D ) and wow, what a ride. Aquaman's rescue was in keeping with established continuity, and his "reinforcements" line killed me! I nearly punched the air it was so awesome. Thanatos' plight was interesting, as was Aqualad's move against him. Rough times for all involved. Ladon continues to be an interesting addition to the cast, and the "thanks for the help" line, paraphrasing obviously, was kick ass. The crowd cheering for Orin was brilliant, and Orm's predicament continues to be quite gutwrenching-- you feel for the guy, it's terrible-- but you know he's going to get what's coming to him! Mera is kick ass here as well, something that's been needed to be seen since Blackest Night suddenly elevated her into the big leagues of Geoff Johns characters. A great story, a great continuation, and a great cliffhanger!
Paul, looking at your covers all together, I realised how much I like your colouring style on these works, and I must say you're a welcome addition to the Art Department. You're doing great work across the site and it's always a pleasure to see you contribute.
A quick continuinty question, and it may be my mind playing tricks on me-- but what happened to Aquaman's son? He had one, right? Or am I mixing things up. I may just be forgetting, so if you could fill in the blanks I'd appreciate it.

Yeah, life's been busy lately but I'm working hard on getting everything back on track. Glad the delay didn't harm the enjoyment of the issue . I laid that seed in "Crimson Tides" and was just waiting for the right time to let it grow. Thanks. One of the things I hate when people(most who don't read that much comics) just say Aquaman can only talk to fish. So I wanted to show just exactly what he could do if he used that ability to its fullest but Brandan already beat me to it during #11 so I acknowledged that too. That scene ended differently when I had originally thought of it but I felt that Garth would not just go "ok, I trust you now" after having fought him twice before. Thanks. Lord Ladon's a fun character and this was the first issue where he was really his serpent self much more than his normal appearance so that was quite fun. Yep. Next issue's going to be a big one for him so look out! And also check out this year's Christmas Special, where I expand even further on Orm's relationship with his brother(as you would say, Charlie, SHAMELESS PLUG ) I've loved what Geoff has done with her in Blackest Night(loved the Aquaman plotline in Blackest Night in general...well maybe except for Garth's death ) and I'm trying to make her just as strong of a queen without her husband nearby. Thanks for reading, Charlie. Your feedback is always appreciated! Indeed he does. Mera had him during the Apokolips Imperative. He's actually in next issue(hint, hint, what has Vulko been doing this issue?) Thanks again for leaving comments, Charlie. Looking forward to seeing you next month. PS. Action Comics is coming soon. I PROMISE! ;D

Excellent issue!
Garth and Tula have been very strong characters through this story and I couldn't be happier. It's great when a writer gets the fact that the supporting roles have to be just as strong as the lead. You're doing a terrific job with not only those two but the rest of the cast as well.
I'm chomping on the bit to read the final chapter on this. Please don't leave me waiting to long.

I try to make sure that just because the book is titled Aquaman, doesn't mean he's the only one who gets all of the spotlight. I have whole big arc planned for Garth and that's only beginning here in 'King's Reign'. There's a few big things in store for him next issue so I hope you enjoy those moments too. If my computer is all fixed in the next few days, look for it this coming week. It's double-sized and full of great interiors by Paul Johnson! Thanks for leaving feedback, Brian. Your comments are always appreciated each month.
