Good finish, although I have to say that I wasn't that taken with Batman indulging in, and condoning, needless brutality against the villain after they'd defeated him. Also, kind of surprised that Catwoman didn't sneakily take the cat statue at the end while Batman was distracted by her (or maybe she did and he's still not realised it yet). Apart from those observations I've got nothing but praise. The action scenes were great (as were the ones in this week's Suicide Squad, written by the same writer), and I thought the handling of Alfred was terrific; loved his "Poetic" line.
Finally, and this is probably just stating the obvious, but that was one awesome cover, Craig and Ramon.

Great issue! Loved the chemistry (and there was a little too much chemistry there, Jay) between Bruce and Selina, and everything else was so superbly written! Great stuff from a writer who's hopefully going to be working more and more on the site! And yeah, great cover Craig! And those colours really enhance the viewing experience. Really impressive.

Mark: While I take your point about not having Batman go too far in continuity, and agree wholeheatedly, let me assure you that if anything they were too kind to that racist scumbag.
And thank you for the praise of my writing. I don't have to tell you how important that is.
Charlie: Well as you know I'm writing Squad solo starting with # 13, Titans with # 23, Resistance is ongoing, and currently I'm helping John out with GL, in addition to challenge. So yeah, you could say I was committed.

Excellent conclusion to this story. I've always had a soft spot for the Bat and the Cat, and this story reminded me why. I've also said it before, and I'll say it again. Jay is a writer who's style I can get into very easily, so it's always an enjoyable read.
I think, the more I read and write the character of Batman, it's fascinating that everyone has there own little twist on what they expect him to be, and how she should act in some scenerio's. Although I have to agree with Mark on the use of violence on a subdued villian, it isn't the first time somebody had written him like that. It's not quite the Batman that I think of, but it's a style that's been shown before.
Hats off to both artist and writer. A terrific story that makes me want more of Catwoman. A LOT more!

Catwoman is one of my very favorite bat-adversaries, and she is written superbly here. Just the right touch of flirtatious banter between Cats and Bats, and the showcase of Catwoman's skills as a thief and "sidekick" was handled brilliantly.
I also liked the dream sequence/ Bruce's conflicted thought processes, and especially the banter between Bruce and Alfred. For as long as these two have been together, it stands to reason they would have a close, easy dialogue whether they're discussing bat-business or Bruce's personal life. Bravo.
And both covers to this tale are terrific

With the exception of Batman condoning the abuse of Freeman (yes, the guy's a murdering racist scumbag, but letting Catwoman whip him is gratuitous) this story was pitch-perfect from beginning to end. Hope to see more in the future.

Well I'm glad you enjoyed the story, seeing as how I wrote it, and as for the cover....that, my friend, is Craig Cermak.
You'll find plenty of stuff to enjoy here, I promise.

Loved this conclusion, except for the 'overkill' everyone's already mentioned to Freeman. Great plotting, action and dilalogue...as well as a highly professional cover!
