Really enjoyed this issue. As I've said before, I think DC2's Jason Todd is by far one of my favorite characters. He's not as crazy and psychotic as how they've made him in DCU and he's more like a kind of gray character here which I like better. Also looking forward to where Dick's predicament of being "crazy" goes. Should be fun and can't wait for the next part of the story in two weeks!

Heh, Breaking The Bat continues to evolve as I write it-- the fun part of writing way ahead of release means if something strikes me when I'm writing, say, #40, I can go back and change #39, which I have done. It's sexy smooth. This arc rolls straight into the next big Batman arc-- one not exclusive to this title...

This is ahem... very well written. EVERYBODY should read it. Twice. And then comment on it. I say this as a very impartial third party.

Great job guys. I love the depection of Jason frustration with the detective aspect. Huge payoff when he finally figures it out and way to make the villian a real creepo. Can't wait to see how Jason handles his new promotion.
Great cover and great job all around.

Another terrific issue. I have to admit I found myself wondering, in the middle of it, if Jason Todd may not be an ancestory to Sweeny Todd. Anyway, excellent issue, though poor Dick. He finally gets in the bat suit and he's still being saved by someone else. LOL! Can't wait to read the next issue! What?!?! It's up already?!?!?! Cool!!!

Great job guys. I love the depection of Jason frustration with the detective aspect. A running thread through DC2 Nemesis: The Dark Knight and the ongoing Batman book is to show how different these two Batman are. They're bi-products of different Bruce Waynes, which is a fascinating approach that I just thought up then (woo-hoo, letter column!) and we'll continue to see their differences as the story arc goes on. Huge payoff when he finally figures it out and way to make the villian a real creepo. Detective stories are not my forte, and my attempt at writing an ongoing mystery in Detective Comics crashed and burned-- took too long to reach a good place, and never reached resolution, something that'll be sorted out whenever the Annual gets out. I shouldn't even mention it, then people would remember, but I had a crime mapped from beginning to end, and I'm bugged that I didn't resolve it for the reader. Can't wait to see how Jason handles his new promotion. Won't have to wait long! Didn't want to ruin the schedule, so apparently we went weekly for two weeks... crazy! And next week... Detective Comics is back, with new writer Alex Vasquez at the helm! Almost like we're planning something... Great cover and great job all around. Yeah, Ramon is a legend. Thanks for reading!!

Another terrific issue. I have to admit I found myself wondering, in the middle of it, if Jason Todd may not be an ancestory to Sweeny Todd. Oh, that was lazy Brian, too lazy Anyway, excellent issue, though poor Dick. He finally gets in the bat suit and he's still being saved by someone else. LOL! The story isn't finished, and I'm working on the final-ish issue right now. Just because Jason is running around as "the" Batman, doesn't mean he's going to get off easy... Can't wait to read the next issue! What?!?! It's up already?!?!?! I know, right? Cool!!! Too true ;D
