Wow. There it is finally the last installment. This story has been bouncing around the workshop and my head since February. It had many different versions along the way and I hope the final one is as fun to read as it has been to write. I have a laundry list of thank yous to give out.
The covers for this were fantastic and exactly what I had in mind when Ramon and I first talked about the covers months ago. Thank you to Roy, Artteach, Drdread and Ramon for some of the best stuff they've done yet. Thanks to John for editing and dealing with my many final final drafts of each issue. Charlie, for helping write #3 and for bouncing my ideas around with me. And thank you to Dave for responding to this idea with out even asking for a plot. I said "zombies in Gotham" and he said "you had me at hello" well actually Tom Cruise said that, but it was something similar.
And thanks especially to everyone who took the time to read and comment on the story your feedback has been greatly appreciated!

Fantastic finish to this awesome miniseries! This one did not disappoint! Lots of hot zombie action, a nod to the greatest of zombie films ("They're coming for you Barbara!"), and some good character moments.
It's also worth noting the nice little bits that will spin out out this as well, especially President Lord's increasing distrust of the superhero community he cannot control.
Can't wait to see what develops from that ending, as well! Who is that mysterious dark-haired beauty--- the second visitation to a Gotham criminal!
Great job, Chris! Best issue of the series!
Ramon, that cover was a fitting end to a run of world-class covers! The AD really went all-out for this series!

Great finale! Talk about tense! I kept reading faster and faster as the minutes ticked away. Loved the moment with Bruce and Dick at the end. I actually liked every bit of it. You have a lot to be proud of! A great read from beginning to end. And Ramon, the cover really is one of your best. "Aye, there be leprechauns here."

First off, yet another outstanding cover.
Great pulse-pounding final chapter to this tale. I really enjoyed reading about this particular group of heroes working together. You get a good mixture of seriousness and zaniness with these characters.
President Lord is becoming quite the jerk especially if he's bold enough to threaten Superman. Blue Beetle better watch out if Lord comes off his hinges.
It was interesting to see the mini-teams that formed and how they work together. Batman and GA always are a riot together, and we've been seeing a lot more of Dick and Babs as a team in the DC2. I wonder if that means something.
The climax was great and delivered plenty of action and more than a few tense moments. I liked each issue better than the previous. Terrific finish to a terrific mini-series.

It's official, Lord is a worse president here than Luthor was in the DCU! Yikes! Fancy a little Dr Srangelove do we Lord? Sheez.
And now Dee has the Dreamstone, from classic JLA stories to Vertigo's Sandman, anytime that happens it's NOT a good thing!
Very tense and dramatic, well plotted issue!
Always happy to see Nightwing, of course. Barbara don't hurt none either.

It was truly in honor to be involved with such a kick ass story like this. I think like everyone else, it was hard to know what to expect when you described what the premise way back when. The result far exceeded my expectations which was already pretty damn high following your Blue Beetle story! I had had to pop in and check out the final installment with the final revision and all . It wasn't a let down at all! You delivered an intense and fulfilling finale here. I especially loved the Superman scenes with Maxwell Lord. Great stuff. The ending left a lot of cool sub-plots to be picked up later! Thank you Chris for sharing with us! It has to be said that Ramon delivered a killer cover that continued with the theme of horror movie posters! I can't wait to see them all together in the TPB edition!

Plus, I got to make hte worst joke one the whole site when Blue Beetle said "we need that guy like I need a hole in the head". I realize how cheesy and obvious that was but i had to do it.

I laughed out loud at that bit. Good thing I was alone huh? Excellent story, I thouroughly enjoyed reading it. Thank you Chris for allowing me to do a cover, and for entertaining me. The thing that fascinates me about your writing is that events that happen cross over into the other characters situations. For me it made everything feel connected and a very cohesive enjoyable read.

No. Thank you sir for doing that cover it was great. I hoped to get a laugh out of that line so that's cool. I'm glad you enjoyed the story and I was worried I hadn't gotten across that cohesiveness on the different scenes so Thank you for saying so.

Yeah, that might have been a bit unnecessary, but you put in "They're coming to get you, Barbara!" so I forgive. ;D Good wrap-up, although a tad clean. Throw a Mother Box at it and let them cancel each other out? Well, it worked, I'll give you that, but it seemed anticlimactic. And President Lord's actions during this whole thing were deplorable...I'm not voting for him in 2008, let me tell you! So, who gets to round up all the dead bodies?

Thank you Susan. Yeah that was at you request with that line. "They're coming to get you Barbara."
As for rounding up the bodies I geuss that would be whoeever is picking them up from the invasion.

A very good story. I almost didn't read it because I don't like zombies, but I looked it over since it was a Batman story. The biggest thing I liked about this story was Ted Kord. He wasn't shown as a bafoon, but instead as the genius he really is. He's why I ended up reading the whole story. Excellent job.
