Excellent way to balance the mundane with the Crisis. Interesting use of Poison Ivy, and for that matter, Polaris.
As for the cops....wow. Just wow.

OMG. This issue really got me. It's a tie-in to our mega event so I was alittle bit weary about it. But it delivered perfectly. The immigrant piece, Black Lightning's views. The appearance a certain character and his interaction with Static was priceless.
In all honesty, I did the cover back in May, but after reading the story while my wife Krystaledragon edited the issue, I felt that my original cover was lacking something. So I whipped up an addition to the original design and contacted our Supreme Art Director for his input...no I gave him new marching orders for this cover. But in Mister Villalobos style, he blew the damn thing out of the water. He once again exceed my expetition. So Exalt to him and to TimDrake for another great story.
This has been my two cents, Mischief

Is the woman on the cover supposed to be Poison Ivy? I'm not sure since the girl on the cover is blonde.... Great issue man, it tied in to the Crisis very effectively and nice twist at the end. Keep 'em coming!

Thanks! And...yeah, the cops aren't exactly good people. If a Static ongoing gets a green light I'm going to explore how deeply involved in the world of crime that they are. One of the main goals Static will have in front of him would be cleaning up the force. And who knows? Maybe the SCPD has their own Jim Gordon...
Glad you liked those scenes, I had fun with them. And not only did you bring your A game to the table yet again, but the add on was done less than a day before the deadline and still turned out great. And thanks to dragon for editing, John for posting and getting it all set up, and Ramon for coloring and dressing!
Thank you. I hope everyone sticks around for the conclusion, as well as a new title with Black Lightning, next month!

I really enjoyed this issue, for many reasons, but the main one for me was that this issue propelled Black Lightning's character forward. His issue's that began at the very conception of the DC2 was brought into the forfront and that was pretty nice to see.
Great story, and being a union person, and coming from a union family, the little Wal-Mart remark made me chuckle.
Very nice job!
