I want to make a round of Thank yous.
To David for letting me go way off my original pitch cause what I ended up with is not even close to that.
To Brandon for making my Blue Beetle drawing into a decent cover.
To Ramon cause he kind of had dibs on Blue Beetle and still let me use him.
To Drdread for the awesome foreward.
Thanks everyone!

I really enjoyed this! The Chronos thing was cool, and I loved the ending, with Ted accepting his role. You really seem to be able to get into Ted's head...let's just hope a bullet doesn't get in as well. Great start...can't wait for #2.

A very nice start! I like the origin and you've made it a little easier to accept Ted's death in the other universe. Can't wait to read the next issue.

To Brandon for making my Blue Beetle drawing into a decent cover. You're very welcome, sir! Anything to keep Ted alive and kicking in the DC2!

Thanks! Countdown got me into Ted's head in a way and I just never left. Well there was easy access... There was a big chunk missing... I liked it. It was clever, funny, and OMIGOD, CHRONOS!

Yeah I am trying to make Chronos a badass in DC2. So in the next issue there are more dirty Dibnys than you can count.

Liked this issue, but don't like time travelers. It can be confusing. Great pass of the Blue Beetle mantle, and in one issue.

Thanks zoom! I can't say there isn't more time traveling but I did work very hard at making it all understandable.

It's hard, really hard to explain my .. feelings for time traveling. I intended to say (I posted that at midnight) that it can be confusing and if done wrong (which happens often with time traveling) is pure evil. I love Back to the Future and the Flash and his travels, but, almost everything else is hard to understand, and I end up hating it. And I don't want to hate this Blue Beetle mini because Chronos intended to seduce Ted mother, so he wouldn't exist, making Ted travel to the future to fight a Future Chronos that has an even older Chronos that traveled to the stone age to prevent Dan from helping Ted keep his mom for his dad, and stuff like that, with loopholes and a million alternate futures.
In short, I hate confusing time travels.

TED KORD LIVES! YES! I feel like wheeling out my "bwah-ha-has" already. I liked the origin, and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next. Now somebody give me an Ambush Bug series so I can die a happy man.

Sorry I took so long to post this, the system wouldn't let me in the other day... I'm only on a nodding acquaintance with Ted Kord, my biggest exposure being his guest shots in BIRDS OF PREY. He always seemed a good everyman sort of character (though a lot smarter than most everymen ) and I like him, just not enough to follow him more closely. But one of the nice things I'm discovering about DC2 (and I know quite a few others are, as well) is that whenever a second- or third-string character gets introduced around here, the person writing him/her loves that character to death, and gives them their due in a way they never got in the DCU, showing them off to us newbies as only hardcore fans can, warts and all. You spun a good yarn here, Circle, and I'm looking forward to the next three installments -- I'll be waiting on the storytime rug, chin propped in my hands, wanting to hear more from you about "Ted the Bug". P.S. - Dr. Dread's intro made me laugh my ass off! ;D

Thank you! Yeah, I like Ted a lot and I,m glad you gave him a chance here. He is a great character and its too bad he is gone. If nothing else he was one of the most genuine characters in the DCU.

I think we now know why Max Lord killed him. All because of that damned casino on that stupid living island...

It sums up my feelings as well. And I also enjoyed this story. I'm so happy to read about an alive and well Ted. Thanks.

Another title for me to catch-up on. The opening made me think of the Mummy. When Ted mentioned it later on I laughed out loud. I agree with Susan about second and or third-string characters. I love the underused and under appreciated characters (go figure ) so my hats off to making me like Ted. He was only a joke when he was done poorly! Of course I can't wait for more Chronos. Time traveling bad guys rock! Off to issue #2!
