Whee! I love DC2 because we can have the awesomeness of Ted Kord, while also introducing the character of Jaime Reyes, who is a hero in his own right. The flashback to Ted's time in college was a good reminder of how impressive Ted really can be, and Jaime fighting the Reach's torture showed great promise for the young Beetle. I can't wait to see more. -D.L. Mann

Thanks so much for your comments. I look forward to finishing this arc and doing stories with multiple active Beetles.

Excellent issue, Chris. I really liked the flashback with Ted and Dan. It was a great way to open the issue, I thought. The love you have for the Beetle family is obvious and what makes this book such a pleasure to read.
Honestly I was a little concerned about bringing Jamie into the DC2 with Ted still around, but not only are you making it work, you're making me feel guilty that I doubted the concept to begin with.
Can't wait to see what happens next. Loved the cover as well. Nice mood.

Thank you Brian for checking it out. Glad you liked it. I think it's a big universe and there's plenty of room for everyone.

Like I mentioned in the Justice League Special thread, you've got grand ideas, but your delivery is sometimes lacking. I like the idea of a Blue Beetle legacy thread running through the DC2. It's different and it's unique, and from what I've heard you mention about it before, I can see it being something truly spectacular if other members of the site play ball. I know I'd be willing to-- but then again, I have terrifying plans for Ted Kord himself. Anyway, the idea of Jaime (and maybe Dan?) running around in the present day, along with Ted himself, is sublime, and I'll be back next issue to check out how you carry it off.

This is a great story and it's a shame it was never finished. Oh well.
