Interesting stuff. I never expected Booster Gold to cross over with the OMAC Project, but it's a nice twist. I'm glad to see some kind of Supergirl in DC2, but i'd prefer Kara Zor-El to Linda Danvers in Kara's costume. And just what is Scott's purpose in the grander scheme of things? Plus, where in the %$#@ is Rip Hunter?!
Good issue. I'm looking forward to the next.

I have to admit that this issue has intrigued the daylights out of me. Who've you've added to this mix (both good side and bad side) are interesting twists, to say the least! But what I really enjoyed about this issue is the continuing friendship of Booster and Beetle. The humor between these two is really coming along well, and a real treat to read. In fact, I will probably go so far to say that after Dick and Babs and Ollie and Dinah, these two could be my favorite couple of all time. Excellent job! And a great cover, as well!

I went for the Linda Danvers Supergirl for two reasons, first off, she was my favorite version of Supergirl and 2nd... someone else had dibs on Supergirl 'proper' (ie: Kara Zor-El) already!! Linda's story will be an important one, so hopefully she'll grow on you. How Scott Free figures into things will have some light shed up on it next issue, and as for Rip Hunter... where he has been and WHY is right around the corner. This is all paving the way for a HUGE DC2 Event. Keep reading and thanks for the support!

I have to admit that this issue has intrigued the daylights out of me. Who've you've added to this mix (both good side and bad side) are interesting twists, to say the least! Thank you sir. I was a little nervous (as was Mark, our esteemed EIC) about the big reveal of Supernova's true identity. I was counting on the current exposure of Buddy Blank and Brother Eye in Countdown and the silver age junkies remembering the classic Jack Kirby OMAC series when it comes to knowing what Supernova's true ID really means. I hope I hit the right spots there. As for Linda Danvers and Extant, their twists was one I've been looking forward to writing. Look for both to have some huge ramifications on Booster. I gotta tell you, writing Booster and Beetle together is about as fun as it gets. I see them as the best of friends... two guys that will be ripping into each other one second and worrying about each other the next. I couldn't resist the "couple" gag. It fits so well. Excellent job! And a great cover, as well! Thanks again and I agree totally. I love Syl's work and he continues to output fantastic covers! I'm lucky to be working with him!

As an aside, I have a little Booster Gold/Time Travel Movie Trivia Contest! Keeping in line with the last three issues, the overall last line is a quote from a time travel movie. However, in this issue there are THREE time travel movie quotes (two in the 2nd to last scene between when Booster discovers Linda and Extant blows up her Earth and the third being the last overall line of the issue). Anyone who can identify two of the three and what movies they came from gets written into the next issue! Yeah, I know it's not a big prize... but hey.. it's something, right?

Frack frack frackity FRACK! Good stuff, as always, and I'm glad to see you worked out that Supergirl conundrum (in an interesting way too!).

I'm glad all you guys are loving the series! I'm loving it too. The mix of characters in #5 is certainly unique and doubtlessly the ideal way to help craft this title into something that you don't/won't see anywhere else.

Did I say that the last issue was a stumble? Well, this one certainly made up for that. I have mentioned on how big a silver age fan I am, and I love the fact that Supernova turned out to be Buddy Blank. I'm not sure how many people on this site actually have read Jack Kirby's OMAC series, but it was a really fun comic in it's day. I hated the Jim Starlin revamp and was glad it didn't really take. I was wrong with my guess on who Supernova was. I thought it was going to turn out to be Blue Beetle actually. The funny thing is, there was actually a hint in the 2nd issue wasn't there? The virus on Rip Hunter's computer had all those little eyes in it. The humor/serious mix was very balanced. The scene with Supergirl as actually touching. Booster is really showing he's not the insensitive jerk he used to be. Nice cliffhanger ending, although I bet I know how they're getting away. As for your ending quote... I haven't the slightest idea what it's from, but I do think I know one of them.
Extant said. “Try and find comfort in your last moments, and the knowledge of what is about to happen, with this thought: Cassandra in Greek legend, you recall, was condemned to know the future but to be disbelieved when she foretold it. Hence the agony of foreknowledge combined with the impotence to do anything about it.”
I'm fairly certain that line was from 12 Monkeys. All of the mysteries are starting to come together and the little twists are taking root. This title has keep me jumping and guessing and it's really been the best read on this site along with Justice League. In any case I really enjoyed this issue and the next one looks like everything is coming to a head. Should be quite an issue. Five stars. Great job all around and very nice cover art.

I spotted a line from Hollow Men in there too, but I don't know if that's... Important.
Heh.
O, yeah, I read the issue.
Enjoyed the bujesus out of it. Brava, Pat!
