Oh dear... well that was certainly ominous enough. I'm not sure I care for the implications of "Midnight falls" in that prophecy. And everyone else please raise your hand in favor of Don writing a Enemy Ace one-shot or mini-series? (raises hand). The antagonism between Hans and Sun Koh was very well done. I also salute the research you did into German pulp characters. And it seems that another reality's Doctor Tock has arrived to correct the senseless death of the original. I'm going to be interested to see what other surprises he and Iron Chancellor have inside Falkenstein to endanger our heroes. Yay for steampunk! Also, man, I love conspiracies! So we've got Project M, P3 and some other unknown faction at least! Faraday is in it deep and I think his life is going to be lot less rosy ( ha!) in the future. At least he'll have the help of King, Trin Dee and Midnight 'cause I think he'll need it. I can't wait to see just how bad this is going to get! Hmmm... and if Andrew Bennett is back does that mean Mary is not far behind? I will absolutely be back next month! ...and you guys really need to find another artist for the cover. The guy you currently have is a total hack.

just fascinating so much going on, I of course love the Falkenstien bit Really, the plotline that had me the most hooked this time around was Eel and Rose. Those scenes were just wonderfuly done, and the prophecy at the end is super-creepy cool. Hammer was pretty awesome this time around too. Can't wait to see where all this is going to come to a head

Oh yeah, his work on WWQ#15 was horrid as well. I say we shoot him. ;D Strange things are afoot on the Danger Trail: castles that appear out of nowhere, ominous prophecies spoken by metal skulls, and King Faraday as a beachcomber! The last one must a a sign of the apocalypse! This Sun Koh fella makes me think of another man of bronze...coincidence or twisted homage?

Thanks for all the interest, people. Good to see I've got your attentions as things heat up in the Danger Trail for our heroes. There are big, big plans on the horizon, and I'm quite excited for them. James, glad you enjoyed all the various twists and turns, and new characters. This was another of those new-character heavy issues, and it's always worrisome to dump a bunch of people on readers, especially on a series with rather obscure characters to begin with. As for Faraday, yeah, he's got several different forces focusing on him now, and his ride is going to be very choppy. As for Dr. Tock, I just had to play with steamtech some more, so here we go...Dr. Tock II, and thank you, Multiverse! Maybe somewhere along the way, a peek into this steamtech world is in order, what do you all think? As for Mary, not just yet. She and the Dragon Queen have gotten plenty of exposure of late, and so she's going to lurk for a while. Andrew's immortal life isn't all about his ex and her current spouse, after all. Just feels that way. Glad the prophecy came out as creepy as it was meant to. There's something just fun about the visual of talking skulls...heck, even Scooby-Doo knew that! Eel and Rose are just so, so much fun, for some bizarre reason. What will Richard have to say when the Doc O meets up with Rose's crew, though? Susan, I had just so much fun with these normally well-dressed, immaculate men of action (tailored business suits and tuxedos being the normal attire after all, for Faraday and the King respectively) out on the beach picking shells. If you can't occasionally get absurd or surreal with these fellas, why bother, right? LOL And Sun Koh does seem like Doc Savage, and why is that? Why because, he's the German Doc Savage! He's not an original character, but an actual German pulp hero from the Thirties (later Nazified by the Reich into a "true Aryan paragon"), and he was pretty much a visual "homage" to the Man of Bronze (though his history and raison d'etre for adventuring were very different). Jan Mayen, whom Sun refers to in the story, is another German pulp hero, who battled evil flying around in his atomic aircraft, and worked for Sun Koh from time to time. While talking up obscure figures, Black Beauty and the Gimp are also actual comics characters. Black Beauty was a gangster villainess of Captain Marvel back in the day, having been widowed (or widowing herself, I forget for sure off-hand) and taking over her husband's gang. The Gimp was an old enemy of Fox Syndicate's The Eagle, and thus, even more obscure than Black Beauty. LOL Great questions, thanks for the comments, and coming up next, the Blood of Templars, which leads into a crossover that will really have big revelations and major changes ahead for two groups of heroes! Take care Don

I should have known: If it's an obscure Golden Age character, Don will find it. ;D

Another great job here. Though I have to admit that I'm REALLY intrigued by the Rose/Eel story. They make a great couple, by the way.
Hmmm...

Another thrill ride on the Danger Trail! Dr. Tock and the Iron Chancellor are amazingly cool villains, but I can't wait to see Hans show them why he's called the Hammer from Hell. And yes, add my vote to Don giving us an Enemy Ace mini one of these days (but for now, he's a lot of fun in this title--- possibly my favorite character, but that seems to change from issue to issue ). The developments Stateside are heating up! Faraday is caught between strange machinations, but it looks like his path will converge again with those of some familiar faces. The Order of St Dumas is a very interesting avenue to explore, and I can't wait to see how this develops and crosses over into a certain other DC2 title! That prophecy is ominous, and has me worried for Midnight! I hope he makes it out of this in one piece! Awesome pulpy cover, James! Love the Kubertiness! Five stars!
