OK, firstly, Gorillla-Knights? I want them. I want a team of them. I want an ongoing series depicting the brilliant adventures of a team of talking, hard-as-nails gorillas. Come on, Don. Deliver!
This was a brilliant issue, and a fantastic continuation of the NO/DT crossover event. So much happened, and I did struggle to get through it at times (it was so dense with content!) but holding on tight for the ride delivered in spaces.
I was sad to see an old friend pass, but his speech to the evil Vigilante was a wonder to behold, and rang so true. Brilliant. I don't know what else I can say but keep on with this, the dial has been turned up to eleven and it refuses to go down.
And Jamie, that cover? The way you used the blacks and the pinks were great, a very visually striking image that did the story proud. I'll be back!

Before I begin, I'm going to channel my own inner Grace:
HOLY %$#*!
OK. Now that I got that out of my system... Yikes!
The poop has officially now hit the fan.
The various factions have now moved into what seems like the end-game of their agendas and I'm still completely confused as to how everything ties together but I have no fear that I'll have a forehead-slapping "of course!" moment when it is revealed.
It's hard to feel much sympathy for Black Beauty considering what she's done for a buck but it looks like she's stuck now with an offer she can't refuse.
And, crap, I'm with Charlie. Some more of the Gorilla Knights would be totally awesome. I might have to steal them for a future installment of Weird War Tales. Damn shame about Kzame but I expect that Lady Zand will get hers before this is over.
The advertised death on the cover was completely unexpected and that's all I'll say about that without spoiling things for others.
I'm dying here to go into specifics but I CAN'T! Not without completely ruining it for people who just cruise the "newest posts" feature like I do.
Bring on New Outsiders!

Thanks a lot, you two. Yeah, I have to agree, the Gorilla Knights are awesome. That's what Brian and I said too when we stumbled across them while looking up names of Gorilla City residents. "Gorilla Knights? Yeah, baby!" I could swear that was Brian's exact words. More Gorilla Knights: check. There are so many happenings in two different time zones, there' so much density of action, I'm amazed it all came out coherently, and I'm glad to see the effort is worth it. James, I'm sure you'll get your head-slapping moment, just bear with us. I'm also glad to hear that the death rang true, that it struck a chord, as all great moments like that should. Hold onto your seats, because it's not done yet. And Jamie's cover was indeed simple and effective. I'm not a fan of pink, but knowing what he was paying tribute to, and how effectively he rendered its use here, the result was somber and powerful. Thanks, you've been doing great for this entire arc, Jamie. Some of your best material. See you all soon in New Outsiders, then back here for the cataclysmic climaxes. James, don't expect justice to be meted out on all fronts! Take care Don

Nooo, Speed!
Okay, so let's try to remember where this story started to talk about it...really ought to just type as I go.
I keep having the same reaction Eel has...I should have been more surprised by gorilla knights than I was, but somehow it fit perfectly and wasn't absurd at all. And that in itself is absurd....i'm gonna get dizzy.
I love Canary, she's really been consistently great all the times I've met her so far. So mean to poor Andrew.
It's hard to even know what to say. There are so many plotlines, and so many characters, and so much going on over so much time and it's just all reaching critical mass. It's great stuff, and powerful stuff, and I know you and Brian are both going to make this sing.
