Just wondering. Does this take place concurrent with the rest of the DC2 or is the timeline slightly askew. Say, maybe shortly before or shortly after events happening in someone else's book. Or is that why you haven't used any of the big guns in your story. Cause you won't be able to reconcile their appearance here with events in their own series? A valid question from auton that I moved from the story thread into the letters column. Dave? Jay? Anyone?

The Challenge is indeed in continuity, with the action taking place concurrently with the rest of our regular titles (except in the few instances when it conflicts--- in which case, the events here would be taking place between the arcs, as it were)...
And we made a conscious decision not to pull out too many big guns; not to conflict, obviously, but mainly because we wanted to focus on some of the other, lesser-used characters that make the DCU so interesting.

Just had to put in my two cents and say that the first appearance of a certain secret orginization was well done! Great job on part 4 of this. Wonder where this is all going???

So far I'm loving it. I am waiting for the threads to connect. You are going to connect the stories aren't you? Or are you going to follow the example of a certain weekly book from another company where the threads never quite connected?

Really interesting issue, it gives the feeling for the HIVE just right. Good to see Catwoman and Power Girl here too.

I liked how Merlyn was able to channel the black diamonds power here. That little jewel seems to be causing trouble everywhere. Another nice touch was having the HIVE hire Catwoman. It's cool to see a villainous group such as the HIVE trying to take advantage of the chaos thats quickly spreading across the world. And with Power Girl lurking around makes think that Catwoman could be in for more trouble then she bargained for. This was my favorite cover yet in the short run of this series. Craig's Catwoman rendition was absolutely stunning. This is the way a weekly title should be done. And just think you don't have to shell out an extra $2.99 a week here. All that is required is a few minutes of your time. Each week is designed to be short and pack a punch. So take a few minutes out of your week and check it out. Then let the team know what you thought. If you are not completely satisfied you will receive a full refund.
