Just wanted to say thank you David and everyone else here for all the time and effort that you put into this. It's great that it allows us as artists to showcase some of our stuff that might not otherwise be seen. I logged on last night at 10:00pm and saw that David was working on putting this together, and now I see that his last post was at 2:30am. That is commitment folks, to something that is purely altruistic. Four and a half hours out of your now married life to put this together for us. I enjoy each artists style and this gives me a chance to see it all in one place. I feel honored to be a part of such a talented and committed community that strives each month to create some of the best fan fiction and fan art that I have seen. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Thanks for allowing me to be a part of this great community. Roy Flinchum

Thanks for noticing, Roy! Yeah, this one was a goliath, and a marathon of posting. It was fun going over all the tremendous work done on the site, but it sure made for a sleepy morning! But no worries--- I already have Ramon volunteering to post the next issue of DC2I. Anybody have any favorites? It's hard for me to pick because I'm so proud of all of them, but the stand-outs for me are: KSM's The Terror Titans Ramon's The Golden Age Man of Steel and DRdRead's mock-up of Whiz Comics #1 However, I could go on and on (ArtTeach's Aquaman, Roy's Batman pencils, Tupper's cover--- a last minute addition, but WOW!, etc.)

I like the one of the Terror Titans and I really like the new look for the Huntress. Bravo on another splendid issue.

Thanks for including Roy's unused art from Detective #4! It was really a great cover, and I hated to turn it down, but I was afraid it would spoil too much of the story.
It was all really great work, but if I had to pick the best of the best, I'd probably go with:
The amazing cover by Tupper, especially the amazing Batman he drew for it. Roy's Superman/Detective Comics/Green Arrow pics Aesantos's Starfire Lantern Lad's Spiderman/Deathstroke cross Susan's Jonah Hex Ramon's Batman W/earmuffs and hot chocolate Jim Dufresne's Robin pic. Really good. Littlezas's disturbing Scarecrow pics
But they were all really great. Once again, great job!

Awesome job, Ramon! I sorta dropped that on you at the last moment so tremendous job, sir. Thanks so much for doing it and you're crazy if you think I'm not adding that to the Issue as a variant cover!

Well done to all! The artwork was great, and, if I have my way, the Terror Titans may be appearing in TT soon...anyway, I think a big round of applause must go to Dave as well, for all the puns and intros that gelled the issue together.
Great job, everyone!

Thanks to everyone that was involved with this beautiful project. The overwhelming talent on this site deserves the spotlight often! This is worth several looks! These pics once again show why DC2 is special and the best out there!

Due to technical difficulties, this original piece by DrDread was omitted from the "first edition" of DC2I#2, but that error is now corrected (please check the bottom of page 1).

Absolutely amazing stuff by all involved! Wow. Oh, and thanks for the cover guys and gals! A complete surprise to me (especially since I consider that JLA piece a work in progress) but a good surprise! You honour me and I only hope to continue to hold up to the standards already set here by a hell of a group of talented people!

Really good. Littlezas's disturbing Scarecrow pics But they were all really great. Once again, great job! A quick correction: I did neither of those Hex pieces in DC2I, although my name was above them -- you may want to clarify that, David. The first piece was by Killerseamonkey's cousin just for the heck of it, and sadly I had no use for it as a cover image currently. The second was by Ramon, and was used by him as his avatar for a while. I like both, and am flattered that you thought they were indeed mine. For a sample of how I really draw, see the Bat Lash and Lobo pics on page 2...which I was surprised to see included! As for Hex, you'll see an actual rendition by myself on the cover of WEIRD WESTERN QUARTERLY #3, coming this July! I shall try not to disappoint. On the rest of the issue, there were so many good pieces I can't name them all! The fruit pie ad made me and my husband laugh out loud, though.

Sorry for the confusion on the Hex pieces, however they aren't misattributed. The first, by KSM's cousin, is in the post called "From the Note Pad of a Killer Sea Monkey" (the only place it fits, and not credited more specifically because I don't know the artist's name), while the second does indeed include Ramon's name just beneath it for credit. They are lovingly dedicated to our premiere Hex-nut! ;D

It is nice in sea of fan fiction that retread artwork and are filled with fan boy porn fantasy that this site exists. A place where respect is given to the characters. Stories interconnect and are real. The artwork is original. This place is what the standard should be for fan fiction sites. Anytime you want to be re-energized just see what else is out there. You are all awesome!

Thanks, Art!
That's really nice to hear, especially now when we are about to get crazy with the crisis-making.
But the best thing about the DC2, is that it's not a one man or woman show. We all create this site, weekly (daily, hourly). It's yours as much as mine or KSM's or Darknightdetec's--- we all make it awesome, together!
I'll stop before I break out into song...

Everybody was fiction writting those guys were fast as lightning, In fact it was a little bit frightening, but they did it with expert styling
There were funky writting men, from funky USA They were typing them up, they were typing them down It's an ancient Chinese art, and everybody knew their part From a solo into a team, and I may be writting for the Flash!

There was funky Apprentice and little Lantern Lad He said, here comes the big boss (Idle), let's get it on We took a something and made a stand, started swaying with the hand A sudden motion made me skip, now we're into a brandnew book
