wow.... surrounded by such great stories, mine looked kind of pitiful lol.... anyways, that said, I think my favorite stories were..... well, it's a tie between the ambush bug and Gotham Girls stories..... and that's really saying something to include the bug since I've never been a fan of him..... great work on everything though guys! (and girls!)..... Merry Christmas!

A whole lot of fun all around I loved all the artwork, it all turned out so great. The stories were great, and I have to agree that the Ambush Bug piece was some great humor. I also loved Kit and Dawn on the Christmas Trial. adorable And I loved just the concept of that story-- I'm not sure anyone expected to see Black Peter, and it was a very interesting tradition to bring into the story. The Sivana christmas was another great laugh. Great job everyone though, and happy holidays!

I want to thank everyone for their help in putting this together. Also a HUGE shout out to Mark the Magnificant for putting it up for me on Christmas.
I really love these Christmas specials because it showcases not only the talent that we have here, but the writers and artists love for the holiday season and the characters that we all spend so much time investing in.
Also a very big thank you to Don Walsh who was extremely valuable on getting this off the ground.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and to everyone who reads our work, as well as those who write and draw for our readers: I wish you a very prosperous New Year!
Peace, Brian

Some strong stories, some weak stories, but all in all a fitting package for Christmas, and it's pretty cool that we all came together and delivered something to celebrate the season. Very nice pieces of art inside as well, and I'm pretty happy to have been part of it. Congratulations, everyone!

Anther great Christmas special is in the bag! Loved seeing Ambush Bug again (come on, Aaron, can't you do this guy full time?), and the Gotham Girls was lovely too (I'll have to go over to DC3 and look up the book!). Brian's Green Arrow story was quite touching, but he's always good at the touchy-feely stuff.
The only one that was a bit of a letdown was the Catwoman story. The idea was good, but the story itself needed another pass or two through the editor's office to clean up the sentence-structure problems.

For me, Susie, the let down was the Batman/Superman/Wonder Woman piece. The dialogue felt stilted and the voices off. Plus, that one line... "your eyes look just like his albiet with less bitterness and more warmth" killed me dead. Cream of the crop was a joint between the first League story from Don (I like seeing those lower tier Leaguers from his run) and the Phantom Stranger story (though I thought that could have been a bit more beefy).
And I agree with the Ambush Bug sentiment! Come on, Martel, step UP!

Another holiday season, another DC2 holiday special.
The Sivana piece was good, wacky fun. And Beautia as an A.I. is an interesting concept.
Christmas Without Batman was okay, though I didn't quite care for the "you're just like Bruce" sentiments.
The Christmas Trail pieces were well written and entertaining, even though I'm not familiar with some of the characters.
The Catwoman piece I found somewhat odd but fitting for the holiday mood of this special. Batman is all over this special, isn't he?
The two pieces by Brian were sentimental and touching, though the first one also leaves me with a sense of dread. The second shows the posiitve effect that just a little kindness can have on people's lives if the right choices are made.
The Ambush Bug piece is utterly ridiculous.
I really enjoyed the Gotham Girls. Great character work, and it makes me want to check out their DC3 title.
The Superman/Batman piece shows how different this "new" Batman acts. And Superman should have something nice happen to him, instead of him always helping everyone else.
I also liked the Penguin piece, for some reason. Maybe because of the absurdity of the concept, or maybe because the Penguin's small heart grew three sizes.
Great job, everyone involved.

All these stories were good, but the best one was the last one.

Oh, I forgot to mention those other pieces! The Penguin story was great, very touching at the end. And Don's collection of stories was offbeat but good -- the "All in the Family" intro made me groan inwardly until I saw where it was going. And how can I argue with a guest appearance by Greg Saunders? ;D

Thank you everyone for the feedback. I want to apologize for any editorial gaffs on these stories. As much as I love doing these, I always forget what a busy time of year it is, and I tend to not be on my game as much. To all the writers, I apologize for that. Next year, Don, I'm going to give you a few more. I'm touch-feely! That used to get me into a lot of trouble when I was single. Charlie is dead on that the Phantom Stranger story could have been so much more, again, I ran out of time and really wanted to get it in there. The piece paid the price for it, though. The Green Arrow story, however, I was kind of proud of. As Don said when he edited it, it was kind of an Astro City sort of approach; a great series that I highly recommend. Every story was awesome for me. But the Danger Trail, Ambush Bug, and Gotham Girls were my personal favorites. I REALLY love Gotham Girls and really recommend it to anyone who isn't reading it. Sam does a bang up job on that series and it deserves recognition (as does everything else on DC3). Thanks again, everyone! and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

you guys are sweet I had a great time pulling Gotham Girls together. That short thing took me way too long to do. I didn't quite know how it ended till I got there XD If anyone IS inspired to go check out the DC3 (which was totally not the slightest ulterior motive in my story), remember that the Christmas with the Sivanas story comes out of Earth-6, Don's wonderfuly-crafted Mightiest Mortals. It's a great tribute to all the characters and a great story too

LOL-ing and blushing about the kudos in the Ambush Bug piece! But every story was excellent in its own right, too!
