Heheheahahahaha!
Really happy with this issue. Inspired, in part, by a project I worked on for Chris Paugh, and also by all the really creepy stop-motion ghosts you see in films nowdays, the ghosts that, when you blink, or the broken lights (because the lights are always broken) flicker on and off, get closer and closer to you... I'm just really happy with this book.

A little confusing, a little hectic, and yeah, that is not the way you thank someone who saved reality.
Does this tie in somehow with the Batman stuff in WW?
Four stars.

Wow! I'm starting to think Charlie may just be the love child of Alan Moore and Garth Ennis. Bizzare to the max, with some powerful prose that I actually had to read two (okay, three) times, to wrap my head around. And even then it felt way over my head. But I'm a simpleton, so what do I know. LOL! Richard was perfect, and the ending will definately bring me back for more, but I have to admit I was surprised to see Spectre. Is this his first actual appearance in the DC2? It's late, I'm old, and I can't remember. Also have to say that the cover was outstanding. Haunting. Slightly disturbing. In other words... perfect! Keep up the great work, Charlie! I may not understand it all, but it's always a fascinating read!

No, in fact, it ties into Gotham: City of the Dead! Doctor Occult continues to take part in the one year gap we had between #10s and #11s.

Wow! I'm starting to think Charlie may just be the love child of Alan Moore and Garth Ennis. Thanks Brian to get compliments like that from people like you makes me happy Bizzare to the max, with some powerful prose that I actually had to read two (okay, three) times, to wrap my head around. And even then it felt way over my head. But I'm a simpleton, so what do I know. LOL! When writing this, I was kind of hearkening back to the Vertigo books from the early 90s; all these crazy ideas about life, death and creation, creators running wild with all these concepts that you just had to absorb, re-read, re-re-read, and then think, "Huh, what the hell?" You know the type, right? Richard was perfect, and the ending will definately bring me back for more, but I have to admit I was surprised to see Spectre. Is this his first actual appearance in the DC2? It's late, I'm old, and I can't remember. Spectre appeared in Dave's Wonder Woman arc, culminating in #8, and then The Flash #9 where he went out for some scotch with Richard Occult. Because that my friends, is how they roll. Also have to say that the cover was outstanding. Haunting. Slightly disturbing. In other words... perfect! I love the DO covers Ramon does. He really pushes himself. And I want to keep them and hug them and never let anyone else see them. Then I realise that we're a fan fiction site and you need to see these covers, so I just go along with it. Keep up the great work, Charlie! I may not understand it all, but it's always a fascinating read! Ha, thanks, I think?

The one-year gap! I forgot about that! Yeah, now it makes more sense to me (if you read the latest issue of JSA, you'll know what I'm talking about).
Always interesing, reading Charlie's Doctor Occult. You know it's gonna be mysticism-heavy, but the exact nature changes with each story. And now...now his reason for moping around is gone! Now we'll see what this whole "Rose" thing is about! I'm sure it'll be worth that wait.

The one-year gap! I forgot about that! Yeah, now it makes more sense to me (if you read the latest issue of JSA, you'll know what I'm talking about). The one year gap... And the opportunities offered by it... Come to the forefront in the next couple of issues. Next issue, " Black Dog", dovetails into the multi-issue arc " Houses of the Holy" and really mixes it up concerning some events that took place during that gap. Some of which have been hinted at in this very issue! Though, considering the regularity of the releases for this book, you'll see #4 next month and we'll say #5 some time next year? Always interesing, reading Charlie's Doctor Occult. You know it's gonna be mysticism-heavy, but the exact nature changes with each story. And now...now his reason for moping around is gone! Now we'll see what this whole "Rose" thing is about! I'm sure it'll be worth that wait. Ah, Rose. Yeah, we're getting there. I finished writing #4 a few hours ago, and I was really happy with it. It's again, pretty magic heavy, and I feature a lot of myth close to my heart in the pages of it, but it's a pretty linear story, with one minor exception of a scene. I can't wait to show it to you all!

Pretty good issue, trippy mojo flying around, and a nice use of Death, and The Spectre. I'll be around next year for issue 4.
