Things are hotting up, we're back on schedule and we're free and clear for a few months. With only a few more issues left before the end of the series... What the hell is going to happen next?!
I have a request of you though...
Please, tell me what you thought of #5!

This isn't an ongoing? I thought it was! What a bummer since I've really enjoyed this series, and this issue is no different. Rose's sacrafice was very real, and our heroes reaction was just as real and heartbreaking. He better get the girl in the end! My favorite scene had to be the interaction between him, Spectre and Phantom Stranger. Nice stuff and very much in character for all. I'm not one who normally gets into the mystic aspects of comics. Never been a big fan of Strange or Fate, other than as part of a team book, so I'm not all that familiar with this character, but you sure have taught me that I should have stood up and taken notice a long time ago. AND THAT COVER!!!! OMG!!! That has to be one of the most visually stunning and out right creepiest covers I've ever seen around here. Brilliant! 5 stars!

Rose's sacrafice was very real, and our heroes reaction was just as real and heartbreaking. He better get the girl in the end! Yeah, more on the sacrafice in two months time! Next issue focuses on a plot thread left dangling from #2... My favorite scene had to be the interaction between him, Spectre and Phantom Stranger. Nice stuff and very much in character for all. Thanks, I've tried to develop Corrigan more so than just being an avenging spirit of vengeance, and his and Richard's relationship dates back to The Flash #9. And my Phantom Stranger boy crush is just... Well... Just that. I'm not one who normally gets into the mystic aspects of comics. Never been a big fan of Strange or Fate, other than as part of a team book, so I'm not all that familiar with this character, but you sure have taught me that I should have stood up and taken notice a long time ago. Yeah, but it's better late than never AND THAT COVER!!!! OMG!!! That has to be one of the most visually stunning and out right creepiest covers I've ever seen around here. Brilliant! 5 stars! Ramon is a genius, indeed, I say that every time someone talks about his covers...

K, I feel like a jerk for not posting feedback sooner but; good job on this issue. It finishes up the loose ends of the first issue (Or was it second? I should double check...) And it doesn't slow things down at all. Solid issue, now; why hasn't the next issue come out yet!?

Well, I really enjoyed this issue! I'm not one for the occult in the DCU- I love Gods and pantheons and mythology and enjoy the occasional Spectre tale, but I have little enough experience with the magic end, but Charlie suggested I look at this and I've gobbled up every issue- truly enjoyable! My favourite scene in this issue- heck, in the series- was unquestionably the first though. Truly spooky and horrifying and bizarre and brilliant all at the same time. I really enjoyed the conversation with Corrigan as well- all the "Nth Crusade" and the description of the Void and Hell made it truly sound supernatural and beyond comprehension. In general, it was a superb issue with a really freaky and brilliantly done cover. While the magic of the DCU etc still isn't really my area, I'll be checking in for the next issue no question. Curse you, Charlie, and your destruction of my free time by coercing me into reading things so good I can't stop!

Just rereading some feedback from this series, and feeling all nostalgic and what not, and saw that I hadn't replied all those months and years back! Well, thank you Mike for taking the time, and yes, you will forever be a jerk in my eyes ;D

Thanks for your kind words, Kevin, even if you're not here to hear it. The mythology that we took the time to build in this series was fun to do, and I've just been chatting to Don about the weaknesses of the series, and the strengths too. We're learning from our mistakes (well, I am) and applying the solutions to The Guardian, the creative and thematic continuation of this series (not in content, but in feeling and writing) and seeing what happens. Hope you like that series too, another pet project that I'm having a blast writing. In general, it was a superb issue with a really freaky and brilliantly done cover. While the magic of the DCU etc still isn't really my area, I'll be checking in for the next issue no question. Curse you, Charlie, and your destruction of my free time by coercing me into reading things so good I can't stop! Awesome. Forward--!
