SPOILERS!!! Okay, I'll go first with this one. This knocked my socks off. I read it last night and really got into it. Great characterizations. I love the way you are writing The Prof and Cliff, especially. Warp gets a swirly! HA!!! There was so much here that I really enjoyed. I don't know what you're doing with my favorite character, Dayton, but it better be good or I'll hunt you down, CHARLIE!!! . This has tied for best of the week, for me!

Thanks Brian, and I hope you enjoy #4 which comes out in two months (after crisis!) and introduces the team into the DC2 proper!

Loved the cover (especially the depiction of Robotman).
Thought the issue was great as well, especially the handling of Cliff's change, although continuity-wise it didn't seem to tie-in with what we were shown in the first issue (in which The Doom Patrol disappeared during their first mission, so the world was hardly likely to have remembered them. Also, The Doom Patrol wouldn't have met Warp, Plasmus and Phobia before. Most annoyingly of all, judging by the deterioration in her accent, Madame Rouge seems to have spent the majority of the intervening thirteen years watching Allo Allo). I also wasn't sure why Niles would have spent so much time working on cures for a bunch of guys who'd disappeared thirteen years ago.

Ok, long time coming this:
Niles searched for the cures because he CARED. He'd sent them to their deaths basically and he never lost hope they'd return, so he tried to make it so IF they returned, he'd give them a better life. A 'normal' life if you will, or as normal as you can in the tumultous DC2 Universe...
And I like 'Allo 'Allo. Funny shiz.

I've never followed up on this either so I'll take a sec to do so. Charlie, awesome job of getting at the hearts of these characters by turning their worlds upside down in the most personal way possible. I also enjoyed the characterizations quite a bit. You've given us a true vision of the Patrol but thrown in some healthy doses of Grant Morrison's acclaimed run. And once again, it seems like we are on the same page as the regular DC continuity as well! A big huge thanks for stepping up on this project and really kicking it into high gear. Now I just hope there's a Doom Patrol left after this story! Mark, the continuity issue is blame that belongs entirely to me. Charlie jumped in with a fresh new vision after the previous one didn't pan out and I allowed his approach to take precedence. It was my intention to go back and make some alterations to the first issue to make all of this synch up but didn't get right to it. I'll do that soon and all should be right with the DC2 world. And of course, great cover Riz! (better late than never right? right?!)
