Yet another great crisis lead-in. Boy, this Darkseid character must be one scary guy.
Good introduction of Mr. Miracle, one of my favorite New Gods. Having him team with Batman makes sense considering how similar they are ability-wise, if not in attitude. I liked that Batman was the one who defeated Devilance (well, Mother Box helped) earning him the respect of a New God right off the- er - bat.
I enjoy how descriptive you are of the mythic qualities of Gotham itself. The city is a major character in the Batman mythos, and you treat it as such with reverence. You get a good sense of Gotham's status in the DC2, warts and all.
Bring on the crisis!

Terrific story! Great introduction to Mr. Miracle. You actually made me like the character in just one story. A feat that DC has yet to do.  This is a great lead in to the Crisis!  |

Good story. Great Ending. Nice cover, but I was a bit disappointed that Scott's MM costume looked more like Shilo Norman's version than the original Kirby version, but that's probably just me.

I enjoyed this story and especially the kinder gentler Batman. It's nice to see him enjoy his work once in a while! This story shows just why Batman is an equal to someone like Superman who has all the fancy powers and Bats doesn't. He was given the info and a plan was formulated within seconds. While I was reading I was saying to myself, "What's he doing with Mother Box"? And then I was like "Ah ha"! So that's it!!

Thanks for the kind words Roy! Yeah, I liked the idea of a more... Less grim Batman... Someone who enojys what they're doing (this isn't a dig at the 'Grim' arc by Ramon, I loved that) and is a bit excited when they come up with a good idea! I mean that was some precision work there by the Dark Knight! But if you want to see another denzien of Apokolips vs Batman battle... With REAL consequences... Be here next month.
