After reading 'Arkham' two-face became one of my favourite villians purely because the scariness of it was that he could really happen. This was done really really well and I loved the twist that just showed that Harvey was already a two-faced person capable of murder...a true psychologically unwell men. However my favourite scene was in the basement (not suprisingly s it was the main point) however I felt that his sudden change should have been alobarated on a bit more and discribed a little better what exactly made him snap and why he hates being controlled and used. Just would ahve liked to see some more physchological insight as Two-Face is a very physchological character...but a wicked stroy none the less.

Jesus Christ Brian, this was intense. Seriously, it's one of the best pieces I've read on the site, and wow... Crikey! What to say? You threw me for a loop with the misdirection of Maroni in the court room, and then with Gilda...? Wow. Seriously, I did not see that coming. This is one of the best Two-Face tales I've ever read (The best, obviously, being his reorigin in Face The Face ) and I cannot wait for the conclusion. Surely, New Outsiders and Detective Comics are two of the very best books on the site right now!

And Quester! I advise you to read this: "Apollo" for more on Harvey Den'ts character at the DC2.

I have planting the seeds with Harvey for a little while now, but let up on it a bit when we did the cross-over. But don't worry, there is a part 2 and we will learn more about his mental state... in spades. Glad you did enjoy it though. And thanks, Charlie, for pointing out the back up story that started all of this.

It came to me after re-reading The Long Halloween (one of my personal favorites). The Editor at that time, John, was behind it one hundred percent, so I went for it. I really wanted to give Harvey his own DC2 twist. As always, Charlie, thank you for the kind words.

Horrible. Gilda...dear God. I can see why that would make him snap like a twig. Well, he's had a rather difficult life to begin with, and this sure didn't help the poor guy. Thanks for reading and resonding, arcalian! I also want to give a HUGE thank you to Mr. Scott... err... Ramon, for one heck of a cover! It gave me the creeps the first time I saw it... in a totally good way.

I'm with Grant. "Holy crap" indeed! I reread the final courtroom moment because I couldn't believe Maroni MISSED! "What the Hell is Brian doing?!?" I thought. "You can't screw with this!" Oh me of little faith...I certainly didn't see the end coming. Five stars, pally.

Great issue. Tragically glimpses of letter page comments beforehand spoiled a few surprises for me, and I thought the Machiavellian orchestration of Harvey's career was a bit unbelievable, but the writing was terrific and it's definitely, for me, the best issue of your Detective run so far.
