Alright! I loved this because this one had my all time favorite Batman characters, Two-Face and Tim Drake. I thought the portrayal of Dent was nice and twisted, and Tim's introduction was very simple and well-done. I hate it when people get over-zealous with their writing and try things like make Bruce immediately love Tim and want to sign him up as Robin. You paced it well and I really hope to hear more about him in the future.
Basically really good and simple portrayal of Tim's personality! I'm so used to how he is in recent comics that I sort of forgot how Innocent he began. It was nice to see him as a normal kid, but having potential for the future.
Montoya's introduction seems to be going well and I wait eagerly to see what she'll think of Batman. Overall, very well-written!

For me, it began with Tim Drake.
The very first comic I read as a serious collector was part of the Batman/Titans crossover that was, amongst other things, his origin. As he explained to Dick and Alfred who he was and how he knew, I identified with him immediately.
I was already overjoyed to know he was here, and am further pleased to see he is being handled well. I look forward to the future with him.
(...Stephanie...)
Our villainous trio were done very well also, and I wonder what Montoya has found. Nothing pleasant, I'm sure.

So in which issue do we see a certain character in this title wearing a very familar costume?

I really enjoyed this! Whenever I read Detective Comics I get inspired to write a Detective story, and damn, you've done it again Brian. I loved the introduction of Tim Drake (though I do prefer his latest DCU characterisation to his earliest) and I thought it was a fitting way to bring him into the fold. I like the layers of mysteries you're building up, and it reminds me of your early run with Chris, and I really did enjoy that collaboration you two had going. I'll be back of course next month, and I think once again, you hit the ball out of the park with this book. Home run!

You paced it well and I really hope to hear more about him in the future. Tim is here to stay, trust me on that. Two-Face is also one of my favorites as well and since I was asked to stay on ths book for a bit longer, I couldn't help but continue to flesh him out a bit. It was hard to write as well, since it's been so long since that Tim existed in DC proper, and I honestly never paid a lot of attention to him in the beginning. So I'm glad it's coming off well. Well you'll only have to wait four week. Thanks for reading and the feedback. Always appreciated.

But as you can probably already tell, I'm tweaking his origin a bit, and there's a few more twists and turns to come. eh... it's just a name... Thank you. I can't wait to see what Montoya has found either. But I'll worry about that tomorrow. ;D Thanks for reading and responding Jay.

I enjoy Tim in DC proper right now, myself, but it's kind of fun to be able to write him from the beginning, and help create the character in our universe. I'm glad you liked the beginning of the story as well. What Chris and I did was a blast and I really wanted to stay in that same type of genre. Tec will always be about not only Batman, but the people who's lives he directly or indirectly connects with.

Well I just wanted to say this was a joy to read and edit.
The one thing that JUMPS at you here is the voice of Tim Drake. Often, people try to write children and it never comes off right. Either they just don't know any children, or try way to hard to sound like a child, or it sounds like a child from like 40 years ago or something.
But here it felt like Tim Drake was a real kid. His voice is brilliant and captures what Drake is all about perfectly....particularly when played against the background of the criminals in Batman's world...
Well done, young man!

Thanks Grant. It is very hard to write from the point of a fourteen year old boy, since it's been about ten years since I was one. Having a 14 year old daughter helps, though. Thanks for the kind words.

Wonderful job on both Tim and Two-Face. I can't decide which I liked better...guess I'll have to flip a coin. ;D
