Yes, excellent!
Alfred ain't dead, good!
But Jack's probably about to be, and Tim is in a bad way.
I wanted to say last issue that I liked the way you're handling Tim, but all the Alfred stuff got in the way. A very beleivable way of handling Tim's introduction.
And the Gordon-Sullivan confrontation stuff was pure awesomeness.

Very good issue. I enjoyed the tension and suspense running through the story. The reveal on Alfred was pretty much playing out the way I expected, but it was still nice to see it come through. Tim and Leslie were very interesting to watch in their various actions, and the explanation for the DEO was good enough. However, Chloe...wow. Nice to see that with King Faraday out of the picture, we have a replacement for him. Guess it must be the role. LOL Let's hope this all gets smoothed out and done with soon though. I don't want to see this DEO angle played out for too long. I did like how Gordon handled things. Sometimes, you just have to lose your temper and shove someone into a brick wall, preggers or not. I call it the "Sean Connery Philosophy". lol Seriously though, very good, and I look forward to the wrap-up next issue (I hope it's the wrap-up, I can't imagine it going much longer at this point...well, the central plot). Keep it up. Take care Don

Montgomer Burns? Nope. I would never kill one of my all time favorites... Mark wouldn't let me. You think? Expect the unexpected in the final installment. Thank you. I've been very nervous in introducing this character, so I'm happy to hear that you are satisfied so far. Thanks! I enjoyed writing that scene. ;D

It's why the final issue is titled "When One Door Closes..."And the Connery comment was pure gold. LOL! I hadn't thought of it that way. Gordon is having a hard time right now, and was a little off, but it was fun to write. For more on Gordon and his issue's, check out this next issue of New Outsiders coming out next week! Thanks for reading and responding, Don! Much appreciated!

Well... damn... I'm riveted. To be corny as hell, I'll say only one part of my seat was needed when reading this: the edge.
I started hoping when the DEO Agent remarked that the person they were questioning wanted to be released... and that he was MI5... I thought that *had* to be Alfred.
And Leslie confirmed. He's not dead. Excellent.
Bri, what I'm really loving about this story is that it's a roller coster ride with more twists and turns than an M. Night Shamaylan flick, and yet there is no problem following everything and there is no confusion in what is going on.
I really respect the way that you have a firm grasp on the components that make a great tale. The dialogue is crisp and realistic. The action is constant. The surprises are not there for the sake of trying to shock without it benefiting the story itself.
It looks like Jack Drake is going to meet with the business end of a hail of bullets. However, who knows what's going to happen. Will Tim become a full orphan and fall under the care of Bruce Wayne? Will the Penguin be paralyized? Who knows... but it's going to be a hell of a lot of fun to find out.
I'm looking VERY forward to the conclusion and what happens beyond. Just fantastic work.

Thank you so much, Rocket! I really appreciate your feedback and the very kind words. Nope, Alfred is not dead, and that whole part of my story actually was not in my first draft, but something that suddenly happened as I was writing it. I'm very glad you are enjoying it, as well as all the others that have been reading this arc. This story was really very different from my original plan, and there are somethings I'm proud of, and some things I know I'm already looking back on thinking I should have done it differently. That's the great thing about writing. Like acting and directing, you learn from mistakes and hopefully it helps you in your next creative endeavor. I will tease you by saying that the ending to this arc is no where near what was originally planned, but something BIG is coming in 2008. Something that will effect both Bat books as well as a few of it's off shoots, something that our awesome Batman writer, Grant LaFleche, has been working on and I am excited to be a part of it. So stay on the edge of your seat, my friend, cause we hope the best is yet to come.

Well, this was made of win. You've paced this overall arc really well, and after the reveal of last issue, you twisted that into another reveal this issue round. Everything was tight, I'm enjoying the downward spiral James Gordon is on, and I'm loving the continuing focus on the detective side of Batman's life. Ever since John Elbe came onboard as editor on the Bat-Books, and we decided to split the focus from #11 onwards, the Bat-umbrella has never been stronger. Thanks John, thanks Grant, and hey, thanks Mark for editing this book! Stellar job! Umm, I guess I should give some semblance of a balanced review... So... Uhh... I did think that the DEO presence was unnecessary... Unnecessarily awesome! I love Chloe, and the one thing that was missing were two familiar faced Agents But I know that they're appearing somewhere soon (on a regular basis) elsewhere on site in April, so I'm happy enough, hee hee. Ok, enough jibber jabber, onto #26!

I sourced a cover for this issue after I noticed it had long gone without one. Here it is... The artist is SaintYak and you can check out his gallery by clicking on the link!
